I think AJ has taken himself out of the spotlight a bit by not taking the Wilder fight and especially with his last couple of fights showing he is no true juggernaut in the ring.
If the AJ fight happens immediately with winner of this fight than he’ll gain some respect from me. If he dances around it then he’ll show his fear. Just my opinion
I don't think he needs a knockout, but he does need at least 2 knockdowns , 1 kd will just get him another draw
It is definitely going to depend the most on how they both come out. That’ll show how everything will go.
No easy fight for either of them regardless of what anyone says.
I agree on GGG needing the KO/TKO but if he can atleast get a knock down it will put a lot in his favor.
If canelo shows up looking to slug it out for a KO like he keeps saying than the whole GGG can’t box thing won’t be to much of a factor.
My opinion is canelo will start off trying to slug it out, get a little hurt then retreat back to his normal boxing style.
If he knocks him out they’ll say he would’ve lost if it went the distance because he isnt a good boxer or would gas out.
If he gets the UD and it is not 1000% obvious than canelo would be cheated.
The majority decision would cause melt down.
No winning with the clens
Only way you are beating him is on points. So if you make it through whole fight without getting knocked down or put on rope alot than That might do it.
Feedback:
Seriously he probably went in with his best game plan and that didn't work now he's talking about switching up. A lot of the fight game is mental. The talk of Canelo losing the first fight and established boxing figures saying they believe Golovkin won has to be in the back of his mind
Yup and he lost facing the same “old, slow and not as much in his punches” fighter 1 year ago. They just hope the he is old and slow comment will actually come true if they wish real hard and say it enough.
Now we can have this so called old man facing the guy who is so much younger and hasnt had a fight in a year to shake his rust off
We’ll see their next excuse
I’m pretty sure most everyone here has to rewatch that whole fight because not once did Canelo hit GGG with a punch that shocked him or made him step back much he kept walking through everything.
He respected canelo for a couple of rounds before opening up which may have been the reason he didnt take the W.
Canelo is 100% younger fighter and has a little more of a boxing style in him but less punching. he will need more punching to make it a clear cut win IMO.
When judges see you hitting a guy but he keeps walking through and hitting you back it’s not going to shine through like if you are hitting a guy and he starts back away. It changes everything.
Also this whole glove Kim is getting old and cant do what he used to thing really holds no weight to it. Just because you see a guy go a couple of fights the distance when we got used to the 3 round fights doesn’t mean he has lost his punches he put Jacobs down once in the fight and at points you can see Canelo was in a little bit of trouble because he started to gas a little midway through the fight.
Golovkin showed no sign of dying out in the fight either.
This fight can go either way if it goes the distance and has same style as the last one.
GGG stone faced before, during and after being charged from canelo.
No intimidating him
Team GGG got into his head 100% just as they planned to.
Also the clown comment afterwards had me laughing
Also I do favor Wilder if that fight happens because Wilder did show us that he has a chin (on top of his big power) in his last fight but also showed us that he isn’t indestructible. Joshua looked like an amateur in his last fight Compared to how we are used to seeing him
I just want to know how much more weight is Wilder going to lose for this fight? He was i think i think 214 for ortiz and 212 for Fury. He is going to be a cruiserweight soon.
Clearly he still has the power to knockdown much bigger fighters but I still feel another 10-15lbs of solid weight could make him more dangerous. IMO
Can't use that logic. People were using that same line of reasoning when Fury went against Vlad. Look what happenned
That is true.
I think this fight could easily go either way. We’ve seen both of them knock guys out early and in later rounds. So might just come down to that “one punch” instead of conditioning.
Showtime played a bunch of both of their fights today and could be a good one

Fury got dropped by the same style punches Wilder throws so pretty sure that can happen again and not get up if the power is behind it.
Wilder fan but I was a little shocked at the weight gap and his choice to not go heavier. Should be a good fight IMO
Unfortunately for the most part boxing went from fighting to see who the best was multiple times if needed to The fighter getting the highest amount of money is automatically the best and the opponent doesn’t want to prove they are better unless they are making the same amount of $
I believe GGG won that first fight
But I was OK with the draw just not that one score card that was far from how the fight went
Canelo definitely had better head movement and was faster on counters but he was throwing whatever he had at GGG and landing a lot of them clean while GGG was walking right through them and asking for more. I don’t think that there is any sure fire way to fight a fighter that isn’t affected by power punches. GGG started to land his punches and started to slow down Canelo And also seemed to stun him at points.
Because of that Canelo started to gas out at points that were pretty obvious during the fight.
I believe GGG will have this fight in the bag With starting the fight off more physical this time instead of waiting a few rounds and especially if Canelo delivers on the promise he made to make this a more physical fight but that is just my opinion and all it takes is one good shot to change the direction of a fight.
I am no huge Canelo fan but I don’t know what Jacobs is smoking thinking he would be able to knock him out he forgets that he was put down by GGG in the first fight and Canelo Definitely has faster hands and moves more like a boxer like how Jacobs was fighting GGG. Jacobs was also the fighter that refused to weigh in on the day of the fight because he put a ton of weight back on in hopes that would help him win the GGG fight. My money would go on Canelo for that fight
Clown, dosser, chump...would gladly stream this fight come fight night or watch later on YouTube, Not worth my money or my time...how many tickets has this sham sold till this day?
Fight isnt on PPV. Pretty sure I read he didnt think it was ppv worthy.
Atleast he isnt like all these other guys that put every bum they fight on ppv to make us pay
