when he moved up to heavyweight and fought John Ruiz he looked marvelous. once he lost that 25 pounds to fight tarver it took a toll on his ability. the first tarver fight he was dry when he entered the ring. he also was winded. since then he never was the same. he should have stayed a heavyweight and fought chris byrd. he also doesn't have enough energy at 175 to jab. as a heavyweight he used the jab somewhat more. if he jabs he's unstoppable. he also needs to use his legs. if he can't take a punch flush he can't rope a dope anyone. jab, circle, and double up on the right and hook only when you circle away. in order for him to do that he has to have a respectable jab up and down.thats what saved him in the first tarver fight was the jab to the body. thats all he has to do if he fights again.
I think Jeff Lacey's chin is slept on. he wears people down by taking punishment but his power alows him to penetrate and do damage. he'll take any punch to get his punch off. he also one the most in shape and hungry boxers in boxing
1. John Ruiz- finds ways to win without fighting
2. Acileno Freitas- no skill, he relies on sheer athleticism. plus he quit against diego corrales(no mas)
3. prince nasseem- clowned around in the ring against one of the greats.(Marco-antonoio barrera)
4. william joppy- went out like a bitch against Jermaine Taylor. showed no veteran craftiness against the young prospect.
5. vladamir klitchko- weakest chin in boxing in but one the most skilled in his weight class. weird combo
