i concur with your statement, yes GBP does underhanded stuff. The main & co_main were not good matches at all, one thing for Barbosa, he threw more love slaps than Quee-Ry and Haney, what did they throw , maybe 450 combined?
What has boxing come to? How can these cats lay claim to greatness? I know for a fact, no legitimate champion would be happy after a performance these 2 gave, they combined to throw 450 punches over 12 rds. I know not long ago some 140 lbers would throw 1,000 punches over 10-12 rds. Not these 2 pussy cats. Neither deserved to win, nor should there be a rematch!
In addition to the counseling , it would be great if Mr. James could also act as a trainer and do the following :
1) Get Ryan to use the jab , the punch that everything follows from. The most basic and fundamental punch in boxing.
2) Get Ryan in better physical condition , so that he makes weight AND can throw more than a handful of punches per round. Ryan should have been able to get rid of Haney , but he wasn't able or willing to fight for more than thirty seconds per round. He hurt Devin every time that he hit him , he should have hit him a lot more.
3) Make Ryan stop that ridiculous Philly Shell / Shoulder Roll Dollar Store version of his. It's crap. See Above.
4) Bodypunching.....whatever happened to that ?
Yes , Ryan beat Haney , but aside from that , he lost pretty much every round that he didn't hurt or drop Haney in. His performance could have been much better than it was. Don't settle for less because you aren't going to be able to hurt and knock down everyone, you have to be able to win rounds in other ways.

Everyone involved in this "fight" belongs in the WWE: promoter, judges, ref, and the 2 "boxers". After wasting time watching this event, the conclusion I come to is that Haney is over-rated, and has a glass jaw. What was his plan? Why didnt he pound the heck out of Quee-Ry's stomach, and back when the other clown turn his back on him? And the other clown turns his back and puts his head down when his opponent is trying to hit him? There were more clinches and headlocks than the 2 of them combined to throw punches,what did they combine to throw 450, over 12 rounds. That means they both averaged 15-20 punches per round. Hardly the stuff of legend. The judges (the entire night) didnt have a clue either, or were they bought? Where did they find that "referee", doesnt he know the rules of boxing? And lastly, the promoter is phony as shit, as his usual self is. Had the judges not help him, his top 2 boxers of the night, lose- (which I feel they did) GBP would almost disintegrate. Did you see Bernard Hopkins whispering into "Quee-ry's" ears , after the bout, while being interviewed? What, he can't answer on his own? This was a WWE event disguised as a Boxing match, are we sure that McMahon wasnt in on the promotion. Neither "boxer" deserved to win, they both should be embarassed by this play, how can either one be happy about this shit? They both cashed in though. What a waste of a Saturday evening!!!
We need to stop giving these 2 boxers any attention at all. The 2 combined to throw about 550 punches over 12 rounds. Yes, about 20 punches per boxerr, per round . The match should have been promoted by the WWE, it was a clown show, then add ODLH to the mix, another joke. I won't waste my time

Great article on an "All time Great Fight". .Maybe Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney could watch a fight like this, and then try to throw more than 15-20 punches a round,, that "fight" was a WWE circus, compared to Corrales-Castillo.
