True
I felt embarrassed for him...that's how awful it was. He talked so much and still got owned by the few words Maidana said.
At post fight interview, Maidana has Garcia translate.
Floyd: Tell Maidana, my hats off to him for being a good competitor. Tell him congratulations on the new baby. . . . you have beautiful family, but next time dont hit me in the dick....I still want to make babies.
Maidana: Then next time let me use my gloves.
Audience (even Floyd) Laughs. You know its true.
Maidana fought as well as he could have and still lost. Nothing he can do better in the second fight except wear the type of gloves he wants but even then he wouldnt be able to hurt Mayweather. It was a good match in that it was close that you dont see at all with Floyd but I didnt think it was a very good fight. Pretty ugly and way too much clinching. I prefer Floyd's typical boxing lessons because thats the type of boxing I prefer.
You failed to realize what you said right there.
These are the gloves we use to spar in our gym. Even when I got clean shots to the head, they guy doesn't feel it. Maidana was feeling that frustration.
He would just go to war, like he did when Stevens fought back tonight (and Ouma previously).
Ouma has a tough skull on his head to take Golovkins punches, but his face clearly showed how much hurt he was. Ouma fought suicide to box inside thats why he isn't boxing now. With the likes of Froch who goes outside-in . . . well. . . it be hard to tell.
Thats what real fighters do. Brook should be showered with praise for fighting the baddest mfers he could. Instead people who have never thrown a punch make fun of him.

One of my favorite fighters ever is Gerald Mcclellan. He fought the baddest, he took on the fear KO hitter Julian Jackson twice.
Nigel Benn, ruined him.
He ruin his mental capabilities. There is always a coulda, woulda shoulda with McClellan on what his career would be if didn't face Nigel Benn. It hurts me dude. Yes, the sport moves when they take on the best, but theres gotta be a timing for this.
Like I said, Respect to to Brook, but no need to ruin life after boxing.
you know what I like about Terrence
he keeps the same company
he didnt upgrade his women/ people
no matter how ugly or overweight
And shamefully, even keeps the same Promoter.
Interviewer asks Crawford if we can get the Terrence VS Spence fight, and instead of Bud answering, he look briefly dejected and look to Bob Arum to respond instead.
Arum then says that Spence doesn't want any of Crawford after seeing this fight. That Spence has been running from Crawford. To me, thats Implying that he will never make the fight happen.
This is sad.
Just like Tim said, it wasn't even on the chin, it was on the eye. Any other fighter (that hasn't experience dislocated eye socket) wouold of felt slightly daze but Brook took it heavy.
I thought Santa Cruz hold up very well outboxing Davis. What surprise Tank was when Santa Cruz started infighting around the 3rd and 4th round. His training up to the fight involve sparring with longer reach, outboxers but LSC did two things fighting inside:
1) Took away his range. Tank is use to fighters going away from him, not close to him.
2) Lengthy arms, inboxing brought instant hits. LSC wasn't missing at all, unfortunately his fists doesnt damage much.
I give Tank credit, he was weaving LSC, trying to slip a hit. I guess its something his trying to emulate Floyd, but his reach would have to involve footwork. It started to connect in the 5th and when LSC bang against the ropes, Tank just had to unleash.
Good fight, wish it had few more rounds.
Haymon holds 154
Bud needs to come to his senses
Imagine if Canelo catchweight for Crawford.
Then again, his a free agent. He could sign to Haymon and that would go away.
Funny thing is even when Lucas throws wide he has more technique than Garcia. Want me to post gif's of Garcia and his hooks vs Morales and Judah?

Well, on the upside, he's the only fighter that can say he challenged 3 KO artists.
And this is why boxers avoid the risk of the KO artists. Brook stubbornly fought against hitters that could ruin careers.
I respect his bravery, but at the same time, I'm disappointed on the high risks fights he took.
Brook didn't even went for the clinch, he just got paralyze bending over. Tony Weeks did the right thing to call otherwise, Terrence would of Terrified him more.
Screw the stupid anthems. Let's go.....
Bruh, dont piss off our American Flag loving boxing fans.....but then again they're already pissed having to wait this long.
I dont understand how ppl can spend soo much time on a boxing website but doesn't actually watch boxing???
This lol
The internet has more briefly thought out comments than a well thought out comment.
We all know Bud wants the fight but ultimately it's up to Arum to make it happen. That's what he's paid for.
He also knows that it's easier to get the Pacquiao fight and the more time that passes, means more money for he and Spence.
I was very confident in Spence being able to beat Bud. Not so much anymore.
If I'm Arum and Haymon, I definitely consider it when the pandemic is over. You would want to hold this at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas with sold out ticket seats if its means rising there stock up.
If Crawford beats Pacquiao, whose next
If Spence wipes out Thurman and Danny Garcia, whose next
At that point, it would be a good time for unification bout.
I think Maidana has shown a lot of positive improvements under Garcia.
He's picked up a lot of boxing skills and I liked how he utilised the jab. He did get hit way too often tonight and seemed to switch off at times but he also slipped ALOT of punches that people around here seemed to miss completely. He also displayed a lot of accurate combinations.
I like how Maidana is transitioning from a crude and simple brawler to more of a boxer-puncher type. Look forward to seeing his next fight.
This!
Like the new skills Maidana has been utilizing. Before he was a banger throwing shots when he wanted. Now his carefully picking his power punches, setting it up with jabs. Definitely like the new Maidana.
This guy Shiming is more popular in China than both Klit's, Ricky Hatton, Canelo Alvarez, Floyd, and Pac combined. Guy is an omega rockstar in China. He could probably fuck Xi Jinping's wife and noone would bat an eyelash.
No doubt the guy is national in China.
But at 32 YEARS OLD he turns pro!
I don't know how Arum will get this guy to last.
I love a rematch. Before the fight, the odds were against Lara because of Hurd's dominating come-forward style. Lara was hitting clean the first 2 rounds, even surprise Hurd going to the inside (Hurd fell down twice, his got no balance).
“I was surprised,” Hurd told a group of reporters following the biggest victory of his five-year pro career. “He did stay there toe-to-toe more than we expected. We thought he was gonna run the whole, entire fight, you know, try to move on me. I don’t know if it was because my pressure wore him down or if he felt like he had to kind of stand there to prove something, let me know he’s right there with me. I’m not sure what it was, if he felt like he was behind. But he did stand toe-to-toe and it surprised me.”
If Lara did what Hurd thought, it would of play into Hurd's game, maybe get the KO in earlier rounds. So Lara must of figure to hit clean from the outside, and come inside to reduce the reach of Hurd. Kind of similar to Andre Ward's strategy against Sergei Kovalev (rematch), however, Lara stay way TOOOO much in the INISDE. The last time Lara fought a taller and hard-hitter fighter was Paul Wiliams (6'1), that experience of figthing longer opponents probably made him box a different kind of style he wasn't use to.
I don't mind Charlo fighting Hurd, but Hurd might want to polish up his skills and footwork before going against all-around fighter.
You're IGNORANT. Sucks hearing that doesn't it? How do I know? But you assume punches have a longer reach than a wrestling shoot. AND I know your ignorant because if you EVER did any wrestling or judo you would know this as EVERY MMA fighter/wrestler knows.
Just watch early UFC and the Gracies who challenged ANYONE to fight them and jiu jitsu ALWAYS won over ANY type of striker boxing, kickboxing, kempo, etc.
Now MMA encompasses all those arts and you think a narrow minded IGNORANT boxer who is NOT a martial ARTIST could compare? G
 Why are you on a boxing site?
I'll agree to some extent about fighting styles but heres the biggest weakness and what makes Jiu Jitsu such a undesirable form of fighting. . . .
YOU WILL LOSE IF ITS 1 VS 2 !!!
It ONLY works on 1 guy. Never seen Jiu Jitsu conquer more than 5 guys at the same time :P
If Bud faces Spence, he will take his head off.
Spence got the best stamina and footwork in the welterweight division, but tonight he cruised after round 7. And the times he dodged back it almost seem like he was drunk weaving (shades of Emanuel Taylor) he did say he was playing around. His style is still there, the body shot to head combination was nice, but the other factors like endurance and countering was lacking.
If his next match he fights back to 100%, I could then see a 50-50 chance in Spence Vs Crawford, otherwise its a lock for Bud.
I’m willing to bet Atlas trained Bradley on how to commentate during a fight.
We're the the firemen,Tim, we're fire the bull$h!t out of this sport. Say it with me.
Nate Robinson should of got trained by Shawn Porter. Similar builds, both got the gazzelle like punches (where they spring out with the hooks). Nate doesn't have the chin or the endurance of Shawn, and certainly doesn't know to read punch distances.
Jake always strike me as cerebral of the two Pauls. The guy's got good foot work, was using the jab to measure his distance, threw the overhand knowing Nate jumps out. Sure his a Youtuber, but when you knock down a professional athlete 3x you gotta consider him a . . . . Pro
