This fight will be entertaining at times, but as soon as Algeri realizes he's not fast enough to win he'll go into survival mode. He'll try to get the angles on Pacquiao, but the PacMan is faster than him. If Manny cuts off the ring and aggressively attacks his hands are too fast for Algeri to keep up. If Algeri could punch, this may be a different story. But even though he's taller, he doesn't have the punch to keep Pacquiao on the outside.
Pacquiao by UD.
After his performance against Fonfara he better take a real tomato can if he hopes on hanging on to his belt. Guys are starting to figure out he only has the left hand.
It's certainly a possibility, but 1st round? Blowout? I doubt that. Be real, Danny will have trouble dealing with Pac's speed and timing, especially early.
He goes into a long list of fighters who could have really made some waves with an even average punch. He has a style that's tough for guys to figure out.
Easy win for Floyd on this one. Maidana didn't look good at the weigh-ins. He already slowed down late last fight and Floyd knows the body shots are there.
He'd have real trouble with Toney, Froch, Martinez and possibly Roy. He could lose all of them or pull out a couple wins. Those would all be very interesting to see.
Provodnikov has a harder punch, but PacMan has the skill and footwork to finish guys. If he hurts Algeri he has the ability to close and land the finishing shots...but that doesn't mean he will. Pacquiao has been coasting on guys for years. Dominating the fight and winning an easy decision. Freddy always calls for the KO.
He better get used to being the underdog for a reason, Kovalev is going to put a beating on him. Part of me thinks the main reason for Hopkins making this fight had to do with the lawsuit that Main Events had against GBP. John David Jackson laughs when guys talk about how they're taking Hopkins, he knows what's up.
