I am serious, I have yet to see you counter what I am saying all I see is you talking shit~
It is merely to provoke thought on what the fight would actually make, because unless you think about that what one guy is making is an incomplete story.
The Fight could generate, as you said, $300 mil, Gross.. Which means, this is NOT the real income generated by the fight. This does NOT cover the costs for making the fight happen. You have to pay people for this fight, not just the fighters. Venue gets a cut. Promoters get a cut. HBO/Showtime gets a cut. Which leaves you with more or less a $100 mil for the fighters. So, hey, they could still pay Floyd the $100 mil, if Pac agrees to fight for free, that is.
:boxing: :boxing:
yeah provide proof mothafukkers...when did floyd ask for $100 million? you can't just claim something like that without proof. in a civilized world it's not right to put words into somebody's mouth or accuse him of any wrongdoing...there are serious repercussions to that i'm telling you.:fing26:
Yes, and that's exactly why Floyd is going to court with Pacquiao.
"they should be regarded as nothing more than a pathetically cynical hype job aimed at saving face at the expense of another man’s reputation."
you mean like saying Pac is on roids..?
Catch weights , special Manny rules and inhouse paid to not throw a punch fighters , there is your explanation , Manny dont fight even fair fights !!
I want this statement tested. No cutoffs please..
I think the catchweight is more of a compromise, cuz Pac's team would want the fight at 147, but Margs isn't that comfortable at that weight anymore, so they gave him 3 extra pounds. Blame the paper belt on Arum and the WBC. Arum wanted it for the promotion, and WBC wanted it for the sanctioning fee. Pac and Margs would have still fought without the belt IMO. Don't blame the fighters.
why is everyone chasing after Floyd to fight when in actual fact he can't, due to his, and his uncle's, legal issues. Can't you people see that? Where was Pac when Floyd didn't have any of these legal problems? when it was relevant? "Oh, I can't handle the needle weeks before the fight, that's what i've been told by my voodoo priest!" crap excuse.
I think the question is "where was Floyd when Manny was looking to fight him?"..
He was on "Vacation".. You're welcome.. :bottle:
That's why it should be contracted in the first place. No commission BS! Why don't Manny fans want this dude tested?:boxing:
Of course we want him tested. But if it's stopping the fight from happening, then they should compromise and just get it on.. 7 days isn't a bad deal.. they asked for 14 the first time around, afterall.. commission said they didn't even need it..
I watched Pac-Marg even with the controversy and no testing..
As a Floyd fan, would you watch Mayweather-Pac, even if Pac wasn't tested?
of course you would..
IMO, they're both a little scared.. Pac's loving the attention, and Floyd loves his 0.. :boxing:
Doesn't make sense for Marquez to say Manny is faster than Floyd because he was able to time Manny but unable to get anywhere near Floyd. He could see Manny's punches coming but couldn't see Floyd's. Defense has nothing to do with seeing a fighters offense and timing it. Manny may be as explosive but Floyd maintains his speed throughout while Manny tends to get sloppy and slower as the fight goes on.
You don't time Floyd's punches. He times yours.. But that doesn't mean he's faster than Manny. That's just how he fights and it's what he's good at. I do think Manny is faster, also considering that Marquez was slower imo fighting at the weight he fought Mayweather.
mosley is right ..mosley knows all about peds he knows that duckqiao is on something..TAKE THE TEST you coward stop hiding behind your court dates and your boyfriend bob arum :lol1:
Mosley knows all about them PEDs.? Funny, he said he didn't know it was PEDs he was taking.
WHO said there was a gag order?
...and now the gag order doesnt even exist? Lol.. I think we all know there was a gag order. Both sides have said they "could not talk about the negotiations", implying there was a gag order.
;10498251']I don't know, nor do I care. The only fight I've been wanting to see for the past 2 years now is the Marquez fight. I think Marquez can beat him. Today made me far more confident that he can. I'll for sure be putting money on the fight.
I think you're getting your wish. GBP can't match TR's offer..
It'd have to be at 147 though. Pac stops JMM at that weight.
Your an overexaggerater. Martinez weighed 168 unofficially tonite and I think he can make 155 so kill the excuses. LMFAO!!!!!:boxing:
it's no excuse.. Pac doesnt want to fight at 154 anymore and Martinez doesnt want to go down in weight anymore.. The only way they fight is to meet in the middle ( a catchweight ), but then you'd say Pac just weight-drained another fighter...
It'd be a great fight though..
If this was a way to duck, then Floyd would be the one doing the ducking. He's the one delaying the case.
Pac imo just wants to clear his name and get loads of $$(from Floyd's pockets) in the process..
IIRC, Pac isn't asking for all that much. Floyd should just show up, pay up, beat Pac twice (likely rematch), take his $100 mil, and retire.
"It's a bad decision to pick someone so difficult, so strong, etc."
I think that's exactly how you wanna prepare for Pac. If I was going into the biggest fight of my life, I'd step it up too..
pacquiao should quit ducking marquez. why's he scared, homie? maybe because their first fight was a draw and the second a sd?
It's not gonna happen.. it's not that they're scared of each other.. its the weight.. The fight will only happen at 147.. Pac is the champ and his camp will not concede to any demands regarding weight and purse split.. We all know JMM is sloppy above 140, and if he tries to go up to 147 just to fight Pac, he isn't looking to win, he's just looking for the payday..
Looks like the title is totally misleading after reading the actual quote in the article.
Yeah it was. It sounded too cowardly. Along the lines of "I'll wait till Mayweather gets old and loses his speed and reflexes". But it was actually about Khan wanting to improve.. Gotta change that..
ok....what happens if mosley does not gas out????????what happens if he cant hurt mosley??? (just like many harder hitting, big fighters) do you give mosley a chance then? what if shane can actually counter pac? huh? what if pac gets hit flush by mosley?
Then we have a Real Fight. :boxing:
I see a slim chance of Rios by TKO because I dont think Marquez can take as much punishment as he did when he fought Pacquiao.. He was at his prime then,, he is now on the decline.. If Marquez can take the punches, I say Marquez UD..
It's the reason why you so often hear "the judges were blind," or "he got robbed," etc. Like I said, I didn't score the fight (no need to), but I can definitely see how the judges could've justifiably had the fight even up until the TKO. It's important to understand how scoring works if you want to enjoy and appreciate boxing. Even many fighters don't "get it" when they lose a bout they thought they won. They don't understand scoring, either.
True.. I had Salido slightly up. No problem with a draw. One judge had Lopez up, but only by a point. Besides, Salido got an "early stoppage". Yeah, Lopez was going down anyway, but you never know, Lopez might have been looking for a "bernabe concepcion". lol.
If Pac - P.Wil ever gets made, everyone who asked for it is gonna say "oh, P.Wil just came from a brutal KO loss".. I guess we're running out of top African-Americans, eh?.. I'd still love to see that fight though..
After the weigh in, Ricky's last words to his country men was " i promise you, you all wont go home dissapointed"
a lot of dissapointef people if you ask me, im pretty sure their was more to hid k.o loss, probably diplomats or people who bet their life savings ended up getting nothing in return. Maybe a lot of people want his head cut off.
I have a cousin who had a bet with his Brit boss. He bet his whole month's salary on Pac to win.. I'm sure a lot of people went home happy as well.. lol..
Anyone who believes anything Arum says actually has lost his or her mind.
maybe...
but when it's supported by comments from DLH, Schaefer, and Ross Greenburg, then not so much..
also, Floyd Sr. has just said in an interview (fighthype.com/pages/content8021.html) "don't ask for the same amount of money because you don't deserve it." and he also called Pacman a bunch of names that reminded me of his son here..(******, bitch, little girl, and a little sissy)
point is,, there won't be any asking if there wasn't any talking..
look, nobody likes Arum, but facts are facts, it looks like he's the one telling the truth this time..
