I hope Cotto doesn't fight Canelo (again) or GGG, he is going to lose. I don't like Margarito. He doesn't deserve another big pay...but you know what...**** it, just **** it...fight this pedazo de mierda Margarito...
First off, let me say I saw a recent high profile prediction on Canelo winning given his finesse with fighting come forward offensive fighters. Bringing in the idea that the defensive fighters he struggles with (Lara, Floyd and trout) do not at all represent Golovkins short sighted less defensively skilled style.
I completely disagree with that notion. Canelo is a flat footed fighter showing slick defensive prowess against boxer puncher/brawler opposition that are simply weak or overrated. Take Cotto, maybe the only true heavy hitter but vastly undersized and in that stage was a more reformed conservative boxer puncher. I didn't find it at all impressive Canelo, with a 25+ lb weight advantage, played a very defensive strategy to edge the smaller prodding Cotto in a close fight. He should have run him the f*ck over.
Now let's look at Canelo against Lara or anyone with fast feet in a defensive mindset.. it was embarrassing. The heavy feat and coordination was definitely put on display in those instances.
To encompass all of my reasoning and wrap this up Canelo is a very carefully managed fighter who has fought the right guys that they'd believe he'd beat and even then got out by the skin of his teeth. The reason and this is meant as the best case scenario/compliment to why Canelo doesn't overwhelm and take out his biggest opponents to date is possibly his very serious endurance problems. He gasses. But the dumb thing is why'll he takes his foot off the petal and loses momentum, he burns excess energy in unessary flashy slick movements.
So here it is. Golovkin is more experienced, better ring generaliship, heavier handed, more power, has been more dominant against bigger opposition than Canelo, has taken more heavy hayemakers with out faltering...
Idk I mean I just don't see how Canelo can pull this off. If there is one thing that must be true about Canelo to win this fight, it's that he must have a good chin and physical durability to take the kind of power and operate at the same level going forward in following rounds.
I agree 100%. GGG should win via KO. :boxing:
There is another article, in thesweetscience.com, in which he claims he was a pro boxer but he refused to provide the the aliases. Also, he claimed he managed David Sears for a tittle match against Michael Spinks??
Here is the article: http://www.thesweetscience.com/articles-of-2009/7408-paulies-prediction-oscar-nominated-burt-young-likes-pacman
Women's boxing is easy...she is just going after the vacant belts, blah, blah, blah....if it is so easy, why is it that the other female boxers, haven't accomplish what she has accomplished? Whatever the reason that you may come up (e.g. Biological Differences Between Men and Women, etc.) anyone in the future that research her name in an internet browser will see her accomplishments..she is part of history a long time ago...
Wilder needs to stop. He wants to make more money just because the other guy is making more money than he is. Stop it. Make sure that you make more money than in any of your previous fights and fight the guy already. If you win then you can F them with less money for them to make. But just accept the f contract already.
Stop it with the Canelo was young and because of this, he gets a pass against Floyd... there were others who were young too and we judge them by their accomplishments and failures, not by the "young" excuse...example Benitez, is the youngest world titlist in history, capturing the WBA light welterweight title against Antonio Cervantes when he was only 17-years old. At age 22, Benitez became the youngest fighter to capture world championship titles in three different weight classes after defeating Maurice Hope for the WBC super welterweight title. We can say he boxed against others with this so called attributes: "young" and "inexperience".
Canelo dreams of a fight against Floyd, because he knows the possibility of winning now is higher, because Floyd is "old", "retired" and not only that, but not in his prime.
I believe Floyd was "old" (at least by boxing standards) when he faced Canelo at age 36 despite the one sided victory. Floyd dictated the pace against a talented and younger boxer in Canelo. Canelo has improved but a prime Floyd is way too savvy to get hit by any combos coming from Canelo, he will be able to see them coming all day.
Canelo wasn't too young Floyd was just too good. A prime Floyd (yes, even at 36) beats any version of Canelo.
Well Cotto was the one who "taught" Miguel Cotto to be the aggresive fighter he was, specially when he used to fight at 140. We will know, in his next fight, if Cotto was the real trainer or not. He needs to be a little more like Miguel when he was at 140.
Bro ,The gazelle ,Jacob stepped right up to the lion Charlo, with a Hawaii shirt on and slippers and told him I want that smoke. Then tapped him on his chest and walked away with all of his ten toes showing.
Charlo hasn’t made a sound since and I know why

Hahahha....this is Checkmate!!! Everything else are just non sense opinions...hahahaha
Canelo has fought virtually everyone he could, GGG fought a bunch of cans to get here. So if ggg wins, thats the new model...fight cans and build your rep off of fighting nobodys, he ducked ward canelo fought TBE. Karma is with Canelo:boxing:
If GGG beats Canelo when he just fought "a bunch of cans..."...poor Canelo if he loses then that mean he wasn't at the level of those so called cans...haha
To respond to you simply, not every boxer falls into this category, but there are those like Corallez, Ghatti, Tapia, who are/were willing to die in the ring. It's not as simple as being selfish, for these men it's what they live for, and to them quitting when not ready is worst than death. Most of these women and families know what they are in for. Would it not be equally as selfish to force some one to change their entire being because you were uncomfortable with it, or because you were afraid. Yeah in a perfect world no one would get hurt and every boxer would retire right on time, but the reality of the sport is most will retire on time or a little after, and they will have nothing but scars as ailments. Few will have speech impediments, and yet far fewer will unfortunately receive life altering issues. The crazy thing is, the vast majority of all these boxers would not hesitate to do it all again. Like I said, this is not as simple as being selfish or unselfish.
I agree. For a boxer is more about competitiveness and honor. Anyway I guess for an ordinary guy like myself, I call it selfish because I do like to think about the consequences and my immediate family. But like I said, I do agree with your point of view.
I guess for some boxers, it is helpful to know their family will be there to support them, whatever comes along and I guess they take whatever risks in the ring because they know that. But, a boxer should know when to stop, being selfish is not the way to go...and when I say selfish I mean the trainers and everybody involved. Yourself (the boxer) or someone in your immediate surrounding should tell you enough is enough, for your own good.
This is a boxing site and this site should stick strictly to boxing fights.
IDK why Boxing Scene even posts stupid comments from Mayweather and Oscar regarding each other's bank account.
Now there's allot of fools on here arguing over who has more money between Oscar and Floyd like if they was getting any money from either guy......
It's fuccing ridiculous how some fools on here are bragging about another man's bank account.... 🤣
Enough said.
