this is really cool. i like to see that there's no difference between these guys, the guys ive seen in distinguished gyms (ie mayweather, wildcard, etc) and my gym... boxing is a hell of a sport.
if you could post scott harrison, i'd really appreciate it. if you have time, eddie mustafa muhammed and vic darchinyan would intrigue me as well. thanks for your time already!
Cotto couldn't back Margarito up period. Shane did.
Nobody seems to take into account that maybe, despite being a good fighter, Cotto just doesn't hit that hard.
Shane had power and speed that hurt Margarito, Cotto didn't have either.
Wraps or not, nothing changes that fact.
cotto broke malignaggi's cheekbone. thats punching power. i think he broke one dudes arm too. ive been hit harder by guys at 135 than guys at 163 who both hit harder than guys at 195. cotto would throat**** just about anyone he wanted to... except margarito!
anyway i believe the handwrap fuss is justified, considering margo beat a previously unbeaten fighter, and then got totally ****ed up by a dude cotto beat. just an interesting turn.
margos not talented at all. he can just get punched all day long. mosley hit the superior boxing techniques that cotto didnt apply too well.
trotter & claggett will never get beyond the canadian domestic level. there are just not enough boxers here. trupish, usmanee & tye fields were the 3 names in alberta but all 3 are no longer fighting here. the alberta boxing scene is pretty weak.
Steve lives in Vegas and has already fought in Cali. He is making a name for himself. He gets big offers, the kid is no joke. I don't really want to talk too much on here, though. I don't think you can say that sparring with Vargas or Judah isn't breaking beyond Canadian domestic level.
It's too bad Trupish left. He is a cool guy. I used to have realllly good footage of him sparring. Too bad.
Arash hasn't lived here in years. Alberta has a few good guys left, most notably Alex Rynn.
