Fight would've happen already had Bob Arum got on his horse and took off after his son died...
Boxing as a whole becomes better when Bob Arum is no longer an authority figure in it.
floyd is his pr guy... if he never headbutted him and got ktfo nobody would care about him
This is the truth honestly. Ortiz luckily found a way to parlay the coverage he got from that fight into his own Cologne, modeling gigs, and now Dancing With The Stars.
Amazing that JUST four years ago, Ortiz was being dubbed the next "De La Hoya"
Ortiz has ALWAYS had elite talent. Power in both hands, good chin, but his focus and heart (Outside of the Berto fight) has always been in question. If those two things ever caught up with his talent, he'd be in a different situation.
To get a decision in Texas, Trout would've had to look thoroughly convincing BUT he didn't. Instead he looked average...period.
Canelo HAS to start preparing himself to go 12 rounds if need be, though.
For all the talk about Stevens opposition, outside of a scared Macklin and a tough BUT not quite a Middleweight Rosado, GGG hasn't exactly faced a murderer's row of opposition either...
Not dumping on the guy, but it is a FACT.
I like Paulie, he's usually honest, and a very good interview BUT...
HBO puts on garbage YET over on Showtime we've been getting Matthysse/Dallas, Smith/K9, and Bogere/Abril as main events...
 Like I said...Paulie is usually, but he's also cashing Showtime checks, he can't bad mouth his employer.
I really don't see why people are so hung up over him jumping over 140...
EVERY NAME fighter in the division is currently tied up. You want a 23 year old potential PPV star to sit idle till the end of the year? It's a business and that holds up his momentum.
Broner is in a lose/lose situation. He can't stay at 135, clearly Burns won't fight him. So he moves up to a 140 lb division where all the top fighters are tied up, and fights a lower ranked fighter to stay busy, they'll say he's ducking.
Some of the comments in here are ridiculous.
Actually believe Big Baby could be the American Heavyweight that we need. Good chin, and more skill overall than Wilder.
Weird that he would sign an exclusive with HBO as they don’t really have any Heavyweights under contract.
Wilder, Joshua are tied to Showtime. Parker, Jennings are both Top Rank, which ties them to ESPN.
