N. Ireland isn't in Great Britain, sorry to be a pedant. Its in the UK.
But of course Calzaghe is British, not ENGLISH. Wales has a strong identity of its own, but most welsh people I know consider themselves British. No idea about Joe though

The north of Ireland isn't actually part of Great Britain as you'll notice by the offical definition of the UK.
ie - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
