Is Vlad's chin REALLY that weak...
I've put some serious thought into this...everyone says Vlad's chin is so weak...but he's only been knocked down by Corrie Sanders (38W - 3L - 29KO) at the time and Sam Peter...arguable the hardest hitting heavyweight, but he still beat him decisively! The kid came in cocky and brash against Sanders and got caught early...it happens. He underestimated him and he payed the price.
Yes, he lost to Ross Purrity and Lamon Brewster, but both were conditioning issues. He wasn't "knocked out" by a punch. He beat the crap outta Brewster for 5 or 6 rounds in the first fight and ran out of steam. He collapsed from exhaustion, not from a punch. The same thing happened against Purrity.
All I'm saying, is let's get off the "Glass Vlad" theory people...While is chin isn't made of granite, we've all seen far less in the heavyweight division.
And one more additional side not... as long as Emmanual Steward is in his corner, he won't lose. And I LOVE David Haye, but he can' beat Vlad now. TRUST ME!!!
I agree. He's not wasting everyone's time talking. He's gettin in the ring and earning his money and a lot of respect, and quite possibly a title shot in 2011. Haye is a disgrace on so many levels...Adamek should shut him up, then take on one of the brothers. It would up the ante, genereate more income and at least have that WBA belt with one of the brothers to truly clear up who the heavyweight champ is right now, a two headed Ukrainian dragon lol.
He's not undefeated. He was TKO'd in like his 10th or 11th fight by a washed up champ. I chalk it up as a learning experience, but it's a loss nonetheless. He'll do alright in the Heavyweight division. Vlad will beat him though. I honestly don't see Vlad loosing while Manny is in his corner, at least not with the current state of the division.
