Has nothing to do with his size (look at his thighs), it's his technique and could also be soft head (the future will tell). Sanchez, on the other hand, is just better.
I think it was his hairstyle that was the problem
Shame about the cut, it shifted the fight. Inoue probably still wins, but Nakatani was gaining momentum.
I think nakatani was nailed in those rounds by uppercuts that forced him on the back foot, he has an excellent poker face.
Nakatani Vs Bam,
Inoue a clear winner, tough cagey fight for both respect to nakatani, Inoue cat like reflex's got him out of trouble a few times, but nakatani early reluctance to engage with Inoue for the first 5 wasn't going to do him any good in a 12 round fight, but that the problem, good fight I enjoyed it.
Close rounds will go to Inoue, I think Inoue wins this on points, obviously junto has a chance of winning, but I think he has to win by stoppage.
Inoue has a lot of body to aim for, I suspect he will target the body with intensity from the first round.
I'm sure some of it was rust but like everyone else is saying. Murtazaliev doesn't know how to track guys down, his timing was way off, walking into punches, and just couldn't really make any adjustments. You have to give Kelly some credit because he clearly came in with a game plan and proved me and others wrong.
Yeah he did well, Kelly is also worth watching because he doesn't have a chin, watching him fight is like watching someone being hunted
Shakur clearly outboxed Teo early on, but stopped throwing when those body shots started wearing down. Teo is clearly the more athletic fighter and more suited to the weight class.
You knew the fix was in when the commentary did what they always do and collect their paychecks kissing a s s to the in-house fighter.
It's obvious. Everyone wants the next Floyd. Too bad Floyd would've never let someone repeatedly catch him with the same combination over and over and over again.
Floyd was a lot more entertaining to watch, shakur will never be PPV unless he is on a stacked card; he should never fight in the main event, .
Murtazaliev will have a head of steam coming into the fight after being shamelessly avoided; and not being able to fight for a year, he stops Kelly after having to chase him around..
Nice post Moz!
I had Pneumonia and it took at least two months to recover from; after taking medication, Ortiz style was always going to be difficult for him, but he shouldn't have taken that fight at that time.
I don't even think Matias was winning the rounds. You could give him a couple but it looks like he was winning because it was more his kind of fight, so the illusion is he's having his own way but actually he was getting worked over plenty, which is why he wilted first. Yes the ending sequence were big shots but it was the accumulation that made him easier to hurt.
Agreed.
I didn't have Matias winning any rounds he ate shots from the first round and his resilience bar ran down. Smith took the fight completely away from him, an excellent performance
The problem with scoring this fight is Hernandez threw a lot of punches but most didn't land. In fact, he only landed about 30% of his punches and Junto out landed him 297-273. So it was very close and that made it difficult to score. I scored it 115-113 for Hernandez and that was the score that the fans had it on this boxing score card app that I use. However, Hernandez took way too long to get going. He didn't step on the gas pedal until the second part of the fight and basically gave away rounds. You can't do that, maybe take 1 or 2 rounds to try to figure out your opponent and download the data. I don't remember Nakatani doing that much in the first half of the fight but Hernandez was barely fighting. I'll have to watch it again because this fight was too ambiguous for me. Neither of these guys really showed that they were head and shoulders above the other guy so you can't be mad at the score card. It was just a fight of two halfs and we all know that means the winner is basically a coin toss. Again, I liked Hernandez body work and walking through Junto's punches but Nakatani was landing jabs basically the entire fight and those are easy to score.
