Lampley facing jail?
The AP is reporting that HBO boxing announcer Jim Lampley is facing up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. The good news for Lampley is that after mulling over it for six weeks, the San Diego County District Attorney's Office has only filed a misdemeanor charge of violating a temporary restraining order against him. Lampley was originally booked for dissuading a witness and suspicion of domestic violence, in addition to the restraining order violation. He was arrested in January when despite the restraining order he showed up at the Encinitas apartment of his fiance, 29-year-old Miss California USA 2003 Candice Sanders, while authorities were present. Sanders claims the 57-year-old Lampley pushed her to the floor in a New York City restaurant late last year, then pushed her against a wall on New Year's Eve. Lampley, who has steadfastly maintained his innocence on the physical abuse claims, is scheduled for a court appearance on March 13, just four days prior to the working HBO-PPV's big March 17 Barrera-Marquez telecast.
I heard it said that Foreman split Lyles mouthpiece in that fight , and that Foreman needed dental surgery afterwards because Lyle jammed a couple of Foremans teeth into his gum.
I might be wrong here , but wasn't Tyson AND Seldon under promotional contract with King at the time ? If so , would it really be out of the question for King to offer Seldon a couple hundred G's for Seldon to throw the fight to insure Kings cash machine kept rolling ? Notice how Sedon got " knocked down " into the perfect push-up position . just a thought
I don;t knwo where you are looking, but I can find almost every fight posted by some bookmaker if I try hard enough.
I'm not interested in " Bookies " or internet betting
they take bets on every fight of at least minor significance, name one that they didnt.
It usually depends on the fights location . I usually go to Mandalay Bay , Caesars Palace , and MGM - Vegas . For example , I could'nt find a casino (in Vegas) that was taking action on Klitschko - Brock at Madison Square Garden . And that was a title fight . I would'nt expect these casinos to take action on the fights from Puerto Rico tonight either , but wanted to know if there was any action on the fights from Carson , California. You are ill-informed with your postings , but that's OK , keep trying !
