Why is Bootsy behaves like he's some A-side big shot or something? He hasn't done much yet he's already talking like he's already deserving of millions of $$$$ in paychecks.
This Gualtieri guy just showed up to collect his cheque. You could tell in the very first round he didn't want to be there. The undercards were just as bad.
He's a career welterweight yet he had no interest in getting his feet wet with at least the outgoing, but established ones starting from his 30th fight. Others weren't so lucky to have the same management, thus risked and lost their zeros early and never got to get the money fights they wanted.
Yeah, he's basically a scam and a fraud considering the welterweight division used to be the cream of the crop in boxing. And here at 154 I doubt he will go through what the others in the division went through. It's deeper than the ww and everyone fought one another in entertaining matchups and only one or two got to get good paychecks.
It's always been about maintaining the zero for Bozy and Bootsie Ennis. It really didn't matter whether their victim is a total nobody. Normally, most up and coming stars would go after the "veterans," the semi-retired, the outgoing stars or established names in the division. The Ennis father and son never thought of approaching any one of them. They hid themselves in the dark. There were tons to choose from, Guerrero, Berto, Alexander, even names like Collazo, Josesito, Ortiz, Kavliauskas, Khan, Brook, etc.Kavaliauskas would have been a better name for Bootsy's 30th fight. But he'd rather fight a guy named Custio Clayton. Vergil sought Kava because it's an established name by that time. Bud took Kava's zero, and it's Crawford's 2nd fight at 147. And here was Ennis a career welterweight didn't have interest in such name.
I doubt he would want the towering inferno. Ennis is one carefully-managed boxer with a manufactured record and now reaping the rewards by going straight to money fights. Unlike others who has to risk their zeros fighting tough opposition. I doubt he would even take Gausha or Mendoza, or Tszyu. Guys who fought each other with no second thoughts, and what have you.

Boots announced himself to the world three years ago. It is the reason there is so much chatter and so much indecisiveness about his career.
Every single thread involving Boots gets a truckload of hits. Less than a year ago not a soul knew who Zayas was. Today we know of him because of his impending fight with Boots.
I don't know man, that's what I was wondering about. He'd rather fight total nobodies. In his 20th fight he fought a guy with 10 loses. Then he still went on fighting guys nobody have heard of. He's talented, yet he has to pick fights he's sure of winning.
He certainly ducked Ortiz big time. You give him inexperienced Zayas and he'll say, "Hell yeah!" These are the types of fights he wants. 36 fights and his only notable win is Stanionis for a title. It's either a title fight plus money he'll accept or a cab driver. He didn't look at Kavaliauskas, Benn, even Teo.
Jaron "Boots" Ennis' case with Benn was hilarious when even diminutive Shakur Stevenson wants a piece of that meat, "I can't believe how small he is!" There's Ryan Garcia who also has no problem facing Benn. Bozy Ennis couldn't even talk properly when he was asked about Benn for his boy Ennis.
Whittaker is not Morrell. Ben would accept a fight with Chelli in a hearbeat. Zak would be better off avoiding BW.
BW got this blitz krieg attack you don't see coming. Chelli's waiting style won't be able to handle Whittaker's style.
I fully agree.
Styles make fights. Benavidez forced him to fight for his life.
Yeah, boxing is like chess sometimes. In chess you make more so-called blunders playing against a low-level opponent than with an A-level chess player.
They always talk big game but come fight night they fight like winning is an impossible feat. You need to learn from Lamont Roach when he fought Tank Davis. You could tell he's mentally prepared.
Of course, fans want to see upsets. It's the lifeline of what some say an ailing sport.
I'd still like to see him in with Callum Smith though.
Smith would even do it better than Chelli. I don't think Morrell could handle Callum's combo counters. Chelli's powerful, single flying punches are what did it for the English boxer.
Shakie certainly got bigger balls than Jaron "Boots" Ennis.
Boss Eddie Hearn was dying to make that Boots/Benn fight happen, but Boots and Bozy wanted no part of Conor.
Doesn't this confirm Mayweather is truly broke? Reports say he used the Pacquiao rematch as a collateral to secure a loan.
I don't know what the issue is, all he had to do is to honor the signed contract and go ahead with the fight. Problem solved.
I think this also confirms losing is such a big deal in boxing. It's a sport where losing and winning is a part. Floyd can't bear the thought of losing.
