... it's free enterprise... one is entitled to put whatever price one wants... the problem is the buyer...
You can put whatever price you want.
Although you have to be smart enough to only charge what people are willing to pay.
For a fight a 5am in the UK, lets say 10,000 people are happy to pay £25.00 for this fight. (Gross £250,000)
Considering it is at 5am, I think you would be lucky if you got 10% of those people to pay £100 for the fight. (Gross £100,000).
Considering the fight is in the middle of the night then they would be much smarter to price the fight lower and try and get as many people to view it as possible.
I see a bunch of Americans are trying to complain that we're all cheap for not being willing to pay that much for a PPV. Here's my hot take: maybe it's not that we're cheap for not wanting to pay that much, maybe it's that you're all suckers if you think that's a reasonable pricemark. Especially for this fight.
Correct!!!
Broner is possibly the most classless fighter in all of boxing.
If he never fought again I wouldn't care. He has never lived up to his own hype and he is a terrible loser. I will be VERY surprised if he manages to turn his career around from here.
