I'd have Froch no lower than 3rd at 168 right now. Maybe Kessler can be ranked over him, but since I have no idea where he is in his career right now I have Froch at the 2 spot.
F*** Bute. Dude's getting so much credit over guys that have proven themselves against each other. I'll give him his credit when he earns it.
you're only insisting so much on Bute's record because you're so blind you can't judge a fighter on skill to save your life. Bute is miles above Ward in any chapter of boxing except dirty fighting.
what do you mean? Because that boxing skills will win in any league...
In the amateurs the barely need to make contact to score a point, so they are not taught to put power behind the punch.
Great, Ward v Bute wont happen so we'll get Bute v Don George (highest ranked IBF American SMW)
Showtime said they want Bute to fight Ward or at worst BHop.
But if these won't happen, Bute can fight whoever he wants and they will skip it. They are paying Bute 1.2 mil per fight for 3 fights, but Bute could have made 6 mil in the 2 Froch fights, so they have no power to put their foot down.
I smell BS. Surely Showtime would want Bute to fight an elite fighter.
Showtime makes their money on the US market, and that's not where the Bute and Froch fans are.
What would you call Mendy when Bute fought him?
Mendy was "destroyed" by Bika in the first round before Bika bailed him out. How do you explain Bute fighting Mendy in the very next fight?
it's called a mandatory :owned2:
I love watching him fight, especially when it's against high-calibre fighters. The Kessler and Froch performances were fantastic.
But I bet you wouldn't pay a cent to see him on tv
also Bute sighed a three fight deal with Showtime and two of those fights will be with Froch I don't like it when networks give fighters deals like this because it takes a lot of money out of their budget let the Promotors put in the contracts and later determine if the network wants to buy the rematch.
Showtime can always skip if they want, they already skipped Mendy.
