During the undercard last night during the Paez Jr-vs. the kid from Iowa; They were talking about amatuer fighters and gyms and where prospects are coming from, and basically emmanuel steward said the best fighters are being trained and groomed in California and Florida. He said Philly is going down the drain as well as Detroit. Im curious if we will ever see any good prospects or future prize fighters come out of the midwest or other places in the us where there arent great resources and competition for kids like Paez jr's opponent from Iowa=who gave a decent performance frustrating Paez and being hard to hit flush. I bet this Iowa kid, I forget his name already, could become a real decent fighter if he could keep getting good competition like he had last night. Is there any hope for the future of usa boxing outside of Cali and Florida??
