Aside from who........
.........Joseph Parker?
Wilder would easily stop Ruiz and Fury would box circled around him.
Bank on that.
Ruiz will beat Wilder easier than he beat Joshua and Ruiz will pepper Fury with combinations to the body and head winning a decision in a boring fight.
Wow he just admitted that he's as much of cancer as those that came before (yes, looking at you Don King) and the mess we see with most of the big promoters now. Andrade saw the benefits of signing with you didn't he.. you sure are making the most of that talent aren't you Eddy?!?!
I've said it before, boxers should not sign for more than 2 fights. Turn your back on any offer where a promoter agrees to title shot only if you sign with them for a few fights. Learn to market yourselves, use agents, social media if needed and create your own market/demand .
Look at the NCAA and the attempt to implement that Rich Paul rule to keep the shady business side going... a smart motivated agent can have as much impact as GBP, Al Haymon, Hearn, Arum etc..
Promoter and networks don't want to play ball, Netflix and others won't mind taking on a few event to jump start their sport venture aspirations.
End of my disjointed I'm at work rant trying to type fast rant lol
Don King was great for Boxing fans. He understood the art of match making and he matched his fighters tough. Bob Arum was the same way, but the game has changed now. It's funny how you call King a cancer yet you leave out Bob Arum. Arum was convicted of bribing judges in Federal Court. If that would've been King they would've nailed his nuts to the wall.
Berchelt is too big!
Some people have this imaginary picture of Reynoso having turned Valdez into this great boxer over his last two fights. He has not, he's still gets hit too much and gets careless.
Valdez was campaigning at 130 before moving down to 126 to win the WBO title Lomachenco vacated to move up in weight to fight for the WBO 130 pound title. If Berchelt wins size won't have anything to do with it. I think it will be Berchelt's Boxing ability and power that will be the difference. Valdez also bruises easy and I can see Berchelt cutting his face swelling his eyes.
Wilder is the biggest hype job in Boxing. He needed help from the ref and doctor to recover when Ortiz had him badly hurt. He was also gifted a draw against Fury. Besides those two all he's defended his title against are fighters ranked 30 and up. Beyoncé Wilder = Privileged Diva.
Hopefully Spence fails to make weight.
Come on man. I'm excited about this fight. It's a good way to gauge Spence and a Pressure Fighter vs a Brawler is almost gauranteed action.
Who is really behind him? This dude a “world champ” why? Boxing is a ****ing joke. Who the **** did he beat?? He was struggling with a feather fisted fighter that only had 12 fights vs cab drivers in DR. A hype job, he uses Ryan Garcia’s name to piggy back of his popularity cause his only fans hang from a ceiling. Lets be realistic, he couldnt sell seats at IKEA. Yet fought NO ONE!! Whats the hype???? Let Him fight someone with power and speed and he is done. Why does every network feel like grab a black fighter and turn em into floyd????? Floyd only sold ppv cause of who he fought not of his own strength.
Mayweather was the product of careful match making and the U.S. hype machine. Mayweather is by far one of the most popular fighters in history. He had more fans than any fighter he faced in the later part of his career. Mayweather had way more fans than Alvarez and Cotto. He used to walk to the ring accompanied by Justin Bieber. The casuals ate that whole defensive genius thrown around by the U.S. media too. Most media outlets defended Mayweather hand picking his opponents. Mayweather = Original franchise champion.
Bud is on the wrong side of the road for that fight imo.
Pbc can keep all their 147ers busy for the next 18 months at least without having to give Crawford anything. Arun will puke and moan but he would do the same if he had 4 of the top 5 welters.
You're wrong. When Don King and Bob Arum were at their peak, they regularly did business with one another. Seeing Top Rank fighters on King vision and vice versa was common back in the 90's. Since Al Cancer Haymon came along it's been a power struggle where Boxing fans are getting ****ed. The days of PPV events with 3 and 4 World Title fights are done and cherry picking by all promoters is at an all time high.
Look we all love Juan Estrada. However in his terrific performance against Runsungvi I’m not convinced he’s better. The champion from Thailand fought the first 3/4 of the rematch orthodox ? And it was only after switching to southpaw in the last 1/4 of the fight he was catching up & coming on very strong! Rubber-match for sure & the winner to move up & face the Monster!
Estrada clearly won the first fight. In the twelfth round of fight 1 Estrada had Sor Rungvisai looking like a bobble head. Estrada won more rounds and he won them by far. Fight one was a robbery. Estrada won both fights. In fight 2 Estrada gave Sor Rungvisai a one sided Boxing lesson.
Who has spence beat to be considered the best ww? I'll wait.
Matter of fact, he isnt even considered #1 or #2 p4p, so theres that too. Yet your compehension level is at cawkrider.
He beat a has been with a broken face and a blown up Lightweight.
Is anyone really surprised with this? Pretty much all of Top Rank fighters are Diva's, Crawford, Loma, Ramirez, Fury to name a few. Fury is the only one stepping up with the Wilder fight, Loma is maybe finally taking a risky fight with Lopez. If you want your Career to die than fight with Top Rank, I mean besides Pacquiao who has Top Rank had that's a star? And Pac pretty much sold himself. There's a reason people leave Top Rank it's because they match you soft and never really do anything for your Career.
Top Rank used to be something very special. They'd match their fighters tough and put 3 good World Title fights on one PPV event. Since their stable shrank significantly they've been matching their fighters soft and overpaying their potential stars.
Hmmm, Teddy would be much more critical of anyone else who acted so erratic and lazy in the build up to defending the greatest prize sin sport. Imagine Tyson had ever come in a stone of fat over fighting weight, Teddy would've had a hate filled field day.
Watch the Douglas fight.
Porter has issues with guys who can match his size. Brook dominated Porter and Ugas arguably beat him. Porter is strong until he meets someone his equal
Brook fought an extremely dirty fight vs Porter. Brook was holding and hitting repeatedly.
talkafimo has never been tested at 135 likely to quit on his stool like all the rest
You're going to be shocked by how easy López
is going to stop Lomachenco.
Ducked Shakur for a more winnable fight for him basically!
If a Frampton fight or Warrington fight would’ve came up he’d hired 2 nutritionists!
Don’t matter, Shakur once he cleans up 126 he’ll be at 130 and clean up that division too!
Berchelt has beat Francisco Vargas, Takashi Miura, and Mickey Roman by KO and you think Oscar Valdez is scared Stevenson? You need to watch more Boxing.
Thats what I thought. No real American would hesitate to represent :unitedsta
Bumochenko is about to get laced! Hes messing with the wrong peeps, Teofimo is going to curb-stomp this midget.
You're god damn right you scum bag. López is going to give Lomachenco the beating of his career.
Two deserving combatants.
Pick em fight with the slight edge to Campbell.
I'd give the slight edge to Fortuna. I think Campbell is stronger but Fortuna is more explosive.
Spence beats up and stops Crawford 🤷🏾*♂️
No. Crawford is a more complete fighter than Spence. Spence's best win is a decision against a blown up Lightweight. Crawford out Boxes Spence easy. Brook was getting the best of Spence before getting his cheek bone broken.
Just thinking back to Rahman when he talked so much after the first Lewis fight. Then when he got highlight reel KOed in the second fight, he was humble as hell hahahaha. Same thing will happen here. 90% of you idiots on here are saying that Ruiz will win and that's mostly because you either hate AJ or you want him to lose. That's the reason why most of you didn't want AJ to take the rematch right away. Deep down you know he's going to smash this fat little punk and send him back to under cards. So you guys have 1 more week to enjoy the AJ bashing because after that, Wilder vs Fury II won't happen and we will be back to Wilder turning down record paydays to fight more bums for less money.
Lewis was a more skilled fighter than Rahman. Rahman was just able to catch Lewis with a huge shot. In this case Ruíz is a more skilled fighter than Joshua and now Ruíz knows he can hurt Joshua.
Ruíz will win again.
I hate how the boxing media intermixes 'super lightweight' and jr welterweight' all the time. Can't we just pick one term and stick with it?
No. When the super and light divisions were added the WBA called it one thing and the WBC called it another. Every sanctioning body has its own name for each intermediate division.
I believe its Valero....Could be wrong. Coulda swore he had like 19 or something and made the guiness record book for it
Wilfredo Gomez holds the record for most consecutive KO's. He won 32 consecutive fights by KO after fighting to a draw in his first fight. Salvad
Joshua is robotic and even worse fighting on the inside. Wilder was too fast for him and Ruiz is also too fast + more skilled and a better inside fighter. Team Joshua pushing for a location where he can use his Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) to use PEDs.
Wilder isn't fast. Wilder is also the biggest cherry picker in Boxing. Besides getting help from the ref and doctor to recover after being severely hurt by an old man with high blood pressure, Ortiz and getting a gift draw against an out of shape coke head, Fury. Wilder has defended his title against bums ranked over 30. Joshua will knock Wilder silly. The 2 best Heavyweights right now are Big Andy Ruiz and Tyson Fury. Wilder could fight the ice cream man and his idiot fans will still praise him for getting the KO win. Wilder can't fight on the inside either.
