David Haye looked very impressive and is in tip top shape for sure. Maccarinelli didn't look quite as impressive but its hard to look good next to Haye.
It did show Wlad was a little timid when it came to getting hit, but he knows his strengths and weaknesses. He showed us how good his jab was and he also showed great ring generalship. He's the best heavyweight in the world right now.
wow. Jim Lampley does a good Northern Irish accent.
Haha that cracked me up. Lewis is British no doubt about it, just got to thank the Canadians for bullying him about his accent when he first got there, that's what made him get into boxing. Thanks.
I think it was just a classical British off the cuff comment, a light hearted joke, the reporter knows Bernard isn't going to cut his gloves but just put it out there as a bit of banter. Just a misunderstanding I think, don't think the reported meant anything by it even if he is the worst interviewer ever.
Yes I'd have to go for Lennox Lewis. He's probably my favourite British fighter of all time, if Joe Calzaghe wins against a few more big names then I would say he was in with a shout.
Certainly shows great sportsmanships, Maccarinelli and Haye are both great advocates for the sport. Made me laugh when Haye kissed the reporter after the interview and got blood on her face "Only a bit of blood".
No offense to Cotto, but he still needs to become a larger name until Floyd looks his direction
To put it politely that statement is rubbish, Cotto is the biggest Welterweight there is out there. The fans have wanted this fight for a while and it makes sense, the number 1 Welterweight fights the number 2 Welterweight with Cotto putting his WBA on the line and Mayweather his WBC. It would be a superfight, would get alot of PPV buys and it's a fight that everybody wants to see. Floyd has no reason not to take the fight.
I don't see Haye losing this one, hopefully he'll be convincing against Maccarinelli which will put hin in good stead to move up to Heavyweight. I have very high hopes for Haye at Heavyweight.
