I think you need to show a bit of respect.
To call one of the best fighters of the modern era a "little bitch" is actually showing your stupidity.
Both men were the epitomy of sporting conduct. And Tszyu especially has been a great ambassador for the sport both in and out of the ring over his career.
He pulled out for a genuine reason. Watch the fight before you open your trap.
I can only really agree.
Tyson was one of the most formiddable fighters ever.
As Lennox Lewis has stated, refering to a 21 year old Mike, "No one would have beaten Mike Tyson at that time."
The fact is this dreadful fight should never have happened. It was only the Mike Tyson carnival show that kept the wheels rolling.
He was clearly finished after losing to the useless Danny Williams.
And make no mistake. Only those on the lowest rungs of the ladder lose to Danny Williams - The England Gargoyle - as James Toney calls him.
:D
Mike Tyson needs the money.
He is a spent force. A mere shadow of his former greatness.
In regards to boxing, Mike Tyson is no more, all we have left is a variation of a Jerry Springer show.
As public compulsion with the Mike Tyson mythos continues, the media circus rolls into town.
What a load of rubbish.
I'd prefer to take Kostya Tzsyu's take on the fight:
"Tonight, I lost to the better man - he was better than me everywhere."
There is no dispute.
I was one of the people who didn't give Ricky a cat in hell''s chance.
Full credit to him.
>>Hatton is like 26 years old and there an't no way he's weight-drained.
It has little to do with age.
And conversely, Tszyu does not look weight drained at all.
It's in the face. The tight skin.
I don't think Bernard is particularly frightened of fighting Winky in the true sense of the word.
But Winky has an awkward but effective defensive style that makes him an unappealing prospect for any fighter.
Even in beating him they can still look bad.
Personally, I'm never enthralled at seeing Winky fight but I admire him. He's certainly caused a few upsets - he's one of those fighters that all but the most knowledgeable would tip against.
Kostya Tszyu will win.
My heart says Ricky Hatton because he is, of course, my countryman, but you have to look at the form. I just don't see that Hatton has enough experience at this level. It's a major step up in class for him. So I am afraid my head says Tszyu wins within 5 rounds.
I think Cotto would provide some serious problems for Hatton to solve. A tough fight for Hatton, most definitely.
I think Hatton will beat Diego Corrales though. Hatton can hit with both hands. And Corrales hasn't got the greatest punch resistance.
He's a good enough and and probably has the range to keep Hatton at a distance if he elected to box in such a way. However, he does have a penchant for getting involved in toe to toe battles.
As exciting as he is for us to watch, I think that would cost him the fight against Ricky Hatton.
One must not forget that Diego also possesses a stern punch though. It's definitely a tough one to call.
I think Hatton has proved he deserves to be fighting at world level. He simply requires a few more defining fights against these high caliber opponents, which if he comes through will secure his place as one of the worlds best.
Ricky does have this desire to prove himself and those people that still consider him second rate do not know much about boxing.
I would like to see Michael Brodie win. I do think Scott Harrison has been over hyped, and to call him the best Scottish fighter ever, as he has been touted, is ludicrous.
This is a difficult fight to call though. It could be a close one.
Michael has shown difficulties with stamina late on when the fights have been gruelling. And I think this one will be in that vein.
I hope he does it though, I think he deserves a break after he was clearly robbed in his WBC title bid against Willie Jorrin.
Quite so.
With both Ken Buchanan and Jim Watt who are not exactly in the far too distant past I do not think Scott Harrison has yet proven he deserves to be spoken of in the same breath as those two tenacious fighters, who as you say, held titles when they really meant something. And then the glory so clearly meant as much and if not more than the money to those boys.
I presume that what Don King means is that he will not give up on getting the hapless Pole killed or seriously injured.
Andrew Golota's fighting days are surely over and it would be safer for all concerned that he is spared further punishment.
