Seckbach's decision to share this video interfered with what they were working on in their promotions.
Maybe it helped buys but even gifs dont play down how ****ing uncomfortable and unnatural it was. 24/7 is a privilege. Can other upstarts like Rios say they got the same kind of hbo airtime so far?
Margarito's part honestly made me question his sexuality and it was embarrassing. His 24/7 plot they paid enough to portray was supposed to be about redemption but that showing ****ed with his many attempts at purity, and some casual fans who kept up with this fight will have found it a turnoff because his edge isnt the same now.
Margfag meets Old Sparky soon.
the 1st 2 episodes of pac margo didn't do more numbers than the 1st 2 episodes of cotto-pac but the 3rd episode did about 730,000 but there was a bad card on right after the 24/7 that did 760,000 so the high views in the 3rd 24/7 could of been because the bad card that aired right after
Right, it's impossible there was ever a 'bad' or good card on any other Saturday night when 24/7 showed too. It's all the bad card's doing.
Wasnt there a post a couple of days ago about the numbers being bad. I think they mentioned that the marquez mayweather did more.
Link?
I can't post links but Taffet's announcement about episode 3 can be found on youtube, in a video called Pacquiao Margarito Press conference Part 2. Skip to 3:54.
Lol? Wtf? Other than u pactards being offended that I suggested Margarito may have had a bigger hand in the ratings, is there a reason for the hostility? Chill the the fukk out Pactards
The fights almost here so naturally people looking forward to it celebrate every last success to do with it.
Yeah, it's a Filipino website that just states something as fact. Do you see quotation marks around that paragraph? No you don't because Taffet never said that. He said it was the highest rated since 2007 during the press conference. In 2007, Mayweather-DLH 24/7 and/or Mayweather-Hatton 24/7 rated higher.
Judging by the drop in buys, De La Hoya's ardent following and well established HBO relationship, and that his and Mayweather's series was the show's premiere at a time it was thought of as 'unprecedented' do you really have to wonder which holds the record?
And the episode plays all week, who knows which time got the high ratings
If you weren't tied up with fanciful thinking about how this was possible you might have watched the video in the article and seen HBO's Mark Taffet announce that it was Saturday nights episode specifically.
He doesn't say in 24/7 history, he says it was the highest rated episode since 2007. Mayweather/De La Hoya 24/7 and Mayweather/Hatton 24/7 both aired in 2007.
TS article paraphrased, poorly.
It doesn't invalidate its comparison to several 24/7 series that aired since.
what are u mad about?if manny and margo were this big draw why were the 1st 2 episodes views so low since u have an explanation for everything?bein that the bad and the 24/7 views were so close that leads me to believe that the bad card was a big help especially when the 1st 2 episodes only had about 350,000 views. sometimes when i'm waiting for a fight on hbo i watch the movie right before the fight because i know when the movie is over the fight is goin to start.the bad card probably had nothing to do with the numbers but like i said bein that the numbers are so close it's hard to believe it didn't help
Out of three Saturday night showings any series has, one or more could be attached to a good or bad card that helps.
Take away from it if it helps you but that episode was announced as a stand out either way and the news is impressive to me as originally many people wanted nothing to do with this fight.
I didnt paraphrase anything poorly. Theres a question mark behind Oscar/Mayweather.
Not you, the article had paraphrased his announcement unless it was referring to a different occasion he mentioned it on.
Pacquiao will look to stop Mosley and that alone is a big selling point. Mosley is delightful especially in the limelight, and further believability will come from Nazim Richardson's involvement.
Mosley should have another win first for credibility.
the thing that makes your post dumb is that mayweather was involved in BOTH of the 24/7's in 2007 and it was not said that this was the most watched 24/7 ever. that means that regardless of the praise they are suddenly heaping upon pacquiao, as he has been in three other 24/7's before this, mayweather did it first and better.
it's just that people don't want to give mayweather props before or after he dismantles people. the hatred and/ or marvel at the sudden turn of events during the dismantling is all people that don't really know boxing give in appreciation of what they are watching.
Compare how unwanted this fight initially was with the highly anticipated fight Mayweather just had with with Mosley and you're saying I'm dumb?
Be stuck in the past if it pleases you but some of us don't need to stick to outdated achievements to downplay what's going on now. Cry on about people not giving props to Mayweather since they're no different than what you wrote in this thread.
It has to be the most watched because 24/7 is a programe regardless of who is on it.When it was launched 3 yrs ago can not be compared to now becaus 24/7 has been growing. If 24/7 had been a flop it wuldnt be aired right now.Pacquiao is a beneficiary of Mayweather,DelaHoya,Mosley and Hatton. All these guys have been on 24/7 and added an audience.Fighters bring in a certain %age of their own fans, then some people watch it because it is a boxing programme while others recognise the name 24/7.
Right, I think I understand your points here. You're saying the other episodes in between had less viewers than in 2007 and in the episode that just aired, so it progressively grew in audience while not having the same amount of views until now. Or you're saying that it declined when the series in between like the highly anticipated Mayweather/Mosley aired.
I didnt paraphrase anything poorly. Theres a question mark behind Oscar/Mayweather.
Not you, the article had paraphrased his announcement unless it was referring to a different occasion he mentioned it on.
TS is having a laugh. Having it coming doesnt equate to deserving ridicule on non boxing related tragic condition that worsens. Show any video and it won't change your defending some bull**** cause you can't handle Pac camp talking **** like their "lotta personality" opposite does. So Roach talked some ****. I dont see you crying the Mayweathers have it coming?! Even they never sink this low......
Only thing this guys confident of is his lying ***** ass self saying 'truth is' before all his poorly perfromed lies. 'i said it so many times i'll say it again' oh ya there was never a beter way to handle an accusation than by constatly confirming its strictly a lawyer fed statement.
TRUTH IS youre gonna ****ing die in that ring *****
