People need to stop bringing this fight up. Jesse Rodriguez fights good fighters, but only when they’re way past their primes. Remember, he’s with SNAC. He’s a big-ass fighter — really a featherweight. He can easily make 122. But no, he needs that weight advantage. If he’s really the generational talent people say he is, he would’ve fought fighters in their prime at his own size.
So the title is held hostage for a year and he has a guaranteed payday upon his return. With guys fighting once or twice a year, missing out on a Crawford fight was the only substantial punishment.
LMAO. Crawfish would never have fought him.
Inoue has nothing to apologize for. If guys like Haney and Stevenson can do all that dirty boxing, clinching, hitting low, bending below the waist, stalling, running away from the opponent whole fight and get away with it, nobody can criticize Inoue just because going to distance and getting hit once in a while. He stood his ground, let his hands go, kept it clean and gave fans an exciting fight like any other of his fights.
Bullsh*t fight. Did referee warn Haney for clinching even once? Because he should've and eventually DQ Haney. Boxing is no longer a sport, it is a joke.
Vergil Ortiz Jr. is a very talented fighter and it's a joy to watch him. If he stops Orozco who went the distance against Ramirez, he'll definitely make a statement. Can't wait for it.
Why didn't they suspend any judges of Rolando Romero vs. Jackson Marinez fight? Frank Lombardi had 118-110 for Romero. Romero cleary lost that fight. And all three judges had it for Romero. So it depends on who is getting robbed?
what are you blathering about kid? LMAO
who said they are in their prime now?
the article was on boxingscene a few years ago you casual
inoue and his team were trying to justify ducking choco
"we're not ready waah waah"
Choco fight was gonna happen. Then Choco met Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, lost to him twice, one of them with knockout. Then Srisaket ducked Inoue. Inoue couldn't find any good opponents at Super Flyweight because everyone was ducking him. So he moved up to Bantamweight. Give some props to the man.
It could be a good fight. But it's not a secret that the PBC fighters are protected. It's very rare to see them in a truly risky fight. Vergil is fighting Stanionis because Vergil wants legacy. And Ennis has recently fought a guy named Karen.
Josh Taylor is funny and that would've been him if Prograis had Usyk's engine. You got outboxed and one of your eyes was absolutely battered until prograis gassed out. :lol1:
Prograis isn't even an elite fighter.
Prograis is much better fighter than Barrios.
Holy Fuuu! Insane fight! I had Conlan ahead but wow what a fight. A slugfest from start to end. Respect to both warriors. They gave what fans wanted. This fight will go down in history as one of the greatest fights of all time. I hope Conlan is okay.
Miguel Flores is not even top 100 and got stopped two times in his last four fights. Now he's challenging Leo Santa Cruz for the WBA's Super title. This is unbelievable! This is directly giving the super title to Leo. WBA is full of ****!
Nice to hear that Inoue fights outside of Japan! He needs this. Rodriguez is a good fighter but I think Inoue will stop him inside 5 rounds. Taylor vs. Baranchyk is another awesome fight. My prediction in this fight is Taylor stops him in late rounds or decisions him. Won't miss this night!
Fixed fight! They robbed Akhmedov. There's no way you can score this fight for Puello. And two judges scored it 117-111 for Puello. I feel sorry for Batyr Akhmedov.
Can see it, but not a robbery. Very hard fight to score.
It was close but it was also clear. Also did you see Ward's scorecard? He gave all the early rounds to Ramirez which is crazy.
He just fought a top lhw and was not eaten alive. He won comfortably. Oops.
But he easily beat the brakes off of Gvozdyk and would do the same to the less powerful and smaller Bivol.
Are you serious? Boxing is a young man's sport. He should've stopped or completely dominate 37 years old Gvozdyk. Benavidez barely won a few rounds in the second half of the fight because he was too tired. Gvozdyk just chose to be economic with his energy and boxed since he's too old. What happened to "Mexican Monster"?
LOL! He would do the same thing to Bivol? Stop it. Even Benavidez doesn't believe that since he wants to go back down 168. Benavidez doesn't need to worry about the money. Saudi's would pay him to fight Bivol-Beterbiev winner. Why is he killing himself to make 168? Just fight the Bivol-Beterbiev winner. Benavidez knows he would lose bad to either of these guys.
Yarde won only two rounds. Of course there was experience difference but just because Yarde rocked Kovalev doesn't mean he belongs world champion level. Yarde won't get that level unless he changes his trainer.
