This is what I've been saying a lot. Mikey ducked Loma in 135 and Bud in 140, both fights would have had more sense due to the size. But in both he would look bad and there wouldnt be excuses. Dude, lightweights in ams have the same weight during a week or more of competition. They do not rehydrate otherwise they miss their limit. So my point is that 90% of featherweight pros at fight night weigh even more than ams lightweights and obviously they should be considered the same size. Be realistic.

On the other hand Walters weighed in at 145 for his last fight, so he would only have 9-10 lbs on loma. Loma and his team have publicly come out and said that they wouldn't fight Walters because he's too big,and they wouldn't entertain a catchweights or a rehydration clause. So Walters would be to big for loma with a 9 lb weight advantage,but rigo is a coward for not agreeing to fight loma when he'd be outweighed by 10-12 lbs?

Rigo vs Loma is the fight which MUST happen. I can't even consider if I've ever watched a fight with so much skills in BOTH fighters. This coward weight at fight was probably 129, which is his normal weight at fight, he just did not have to dehydrate before the fight, and Loma was 138, which was normal for him. 9 pounds difference, that's it. This is a good fight, fan-friendly and will be much closer than most think. Dervy will win a few rounds and won't look bad in lost ones. The judges will give wide scores in Canelo favour though.

Belive it or not, Spence fight is smart move for Mikey. It's a win-win situation. Even his die-hard fans recently started to realize Mikey'd been cherry-picking, so he needed a topdog in his prime. If he loses vs Spence - well, he's still a hero to chellenge himself, if somehow he manages to survive UD or wins - BANG.
