Last night it really hit me. Merchant, lampley, steward, lederman and buffer to name a few are way past their prime. Buffer was horrible. He still has the golden voice but the delivery is way off. Merchant must be senile. He makes absolutely no sense. a bow and a wow.....wow!!! Lampley has always been just a fan and is plain boring when not rooting for a certain fighter(never thought i'd long for a bang bang) lederman....enough said. As for steward he's the best. The man never disappoints, 64 seconds in and he delivers this classic line......."THE FIGHT IS GOING PRETTY MUCH EXACTLY LIKE I EXPECTED".......What a prognosticator!!!!!!!! the next nostradamus
Time for some new blood as the five above named have well over 150 years experience among them. I'm almost positive I heard of each of them during the 80's......the f'ing EIGHTIES. Maybe some new blood for the newer generations of boxing fans.
