Where are Toney and Hagler. Anyhow, I agree that the early 90's had a better class of fighters. The 80's had better pound-for-pound fighters since Hearns, Duran, and Leonard all moved up through the weight classes.
You've gotta add Leonard-Hagler rd. 12. Both knew that they needed it. Hagler was desperate and Leonard was dead tired. Somehow he sucked it up and it made for one of the most dramatic rounds ever.
Also gotta say Tyson-Douglas rd. 9 I believe. The round after he knocks Douglas down. Tyson went out there to finish the job (and he is one of the best finishers ever), and Douglas almost ended up taking him out.
Tyson - never reached his potential, ended up being a hard hitting circus act.
Mosley - with the exception of RJJ, I can't think of anyone else who looked (at lightweight) like they desereved the nickname "Sugar" more.
Riddick Bowe - for obvious reasons
Aaron Pryor - "The Hawk" was one of the toughest, most complete fighters you'll ever see. But look where he stands all time for his accomplishments.
Tarver is good because of his style. He sits back on that tall frame and looks to counterpunch. He isn't incredibly talented, but he fights perfectly for his build. On top of that he's got Buddy McGirt in his corner who is the best strategist in boxing. He'd be difficult for anyone to figure out. I think he stops Johnson between 7-9 on a fight changing counterpunch that Johnson walks into, especially if Johnson fights like he did against Roy.
