What the f%ck are you talking about? Are you so stupid you don't understand what is a championship fight?
The fact Canelo does not have a belt strengthens my argument even more, they are fighting over Cottos belt. With there being no belt on the line for both fighters, its not a championship fight anymore. All the promo material is false advertising now, an actual crime, all due to Cottos unprofessionalism.
Honestly, you'd have to be a monkey to not understand why Oscar is mad. Never seen a person work so hard to be so stupid. Sad, that your Floyd obsession means you will waste the rest of your life being stupid.
Calling someone stupid for making an accurate statement does not make you look so bright; right or wrong. In this case you are wrong Oscar is completely off on this one. Canelo will be fighting for the belt as noted on just about every article out. Cotto choose not to fight for the belt due to what he calls extortion by the WBC. Although that is to strong a word 1.1 Million is a bit much and Cotto went on record to say that his team had notified the WBC three weeks prior to accepting the fight that they would not pay that total. At that moment Sulaiman may have been okay with negotiating a lower sanctioning fee <300K at a later date but due to other reasons (Mayweather retiring) the WBC will fight for every last penny. Not many big fights left out there at least with this magnitude. Please note this tactic of negotiating the sanctioning fee is used often by the likes of Mayweather, Pacquaio, De La Hoya and Cotto. It's quite common, that is wasn't granted just shows you the impact it will have when the three biggest PPV stars depart (Mayweather, Pacquaio and Cotto) Not many big fights left.
Why did the interviewer edit the video? He should put up the entire video with the question he asked Angel. Angel is clearly emotional and angry at the same time, he is basically crying and angry, whatever the interviewer said or talked to him about brought back some painful memories and made him have tears of rage.
Angel is clearly not all there, and its sad, but why did he say you owe me a TEN N$gg$r? whats up with that? is he referring to drugs or money? why did he have to call him the N word?
The TEN he is referring to is a TEN count. He believes that money had the fight rigged and was stopped early when the ref stepped in to wave the fight off. At least that's what I read a while back.
Cotto still has to pay the $800k.
The $300k excuse is him trying to avoid his legacy being that he blatantly ducked GGG, and took his ***** ass back to PR.
My God please do some reading before posting sh?t like this. It is noted that Cotto and the WBC agreed that the fees would be $800K and an additional $125K with the promoters both paying an additional $25K for this fight to take place. What Cotto is frustrated with is the fact the Mauricio Sulaiman waited 4 days before the fight to not reduce the fee of $300K which has been done on a number of occasions for other fights, Mayweather, De La Hoya, Pacquiao and even Cotto in the past normal negotiating. What this does indicate to me as one previous poster noted. The WBC just witnessed there cash cow retire and will now be scrambling for ever dollar available.
To say Cotto is ducking anyone is baseless. The man has made a living out of fighting. He is 35 years old has his mental health in tact and will make $30-$50 Mil on his last 2-3 fights. The issue at hand is not extortion but rather the WBC being an entity that recognizing an era in which it featured three of its top stars Mayweather, Pacquaio and Cotto all retiring within a year and are looking to secure the most pennies possible. I would side with Cotto on this one as I'm sure they accepted a negotiated rate for the fight for Mayweather and Pacquaio to take place and that fight grossed over $600 Mil in revenue.
