Bivol has a win over an undefeated Zurdo, who is currently the cruiserweight champ.
Bivol also has a win over Canelo, who at the time was P4P #1.
It is absolutely irrefutable. Nobody else comes close.
Since Roy Jones Junior and Floyd Mayweather Junior 'The pound for pound rankings, are a popularity contest'.
It is not clear who the best pound for pound fighter is in the world, but there is a group of fighters 'Which have all been regarded as having pound for pound boxing ability'.
Oleksandr Uysk, Terrence Crawford, Canelo Alvarez, Artur Beterbiev, Dmitry Bivol, Gervonta 'Tank' Davis, Devin Haney, Vasily Lomachenko, Errol Spence Junior.
Note: For me personally? Out of all of that group of fighters 'Oleksandr Uysk's heavyweight achievements, have been the most impressive physical feats of achievement in boxing in recent times. None of those other fighters have achieved any feats which can compare, from a pure physical perspective'.
Uysk beat Joshua twice back to back, who was a elite level super heavyweight 'A fighter who out weighed him by 19 to 23 pounds in both fights'.
So when debating who is the best fighter in the world pound for pound 'I believe you have to analyse the individual performances of the fighters in-depth'.
Not many of those fighters in that group ? Have better physical feats of achievement on their resumes 'Greater than David Haye's win over Nikolai Valuev. Valuev out weighed Haye by 98 pounds, 7 stone in mass'.
David Haye weighed in at 218 pounds, Nikolai Valuev weighed in at 315 pounds.
So really? In the lower weight classes, people in today's modern era get carried away with fighters who wade through the weight classes 'The only reason why they are able to do this, is because they reach stages in within their career's when they decide not to weight drain themselves and fight closer to their natural fighting weight'.
Terrence Crawford in reality under the 'Same day weigh in rule'. Crawford is most likely a 160 pound fighter.
Crawford and many of the lower weight class fighters, are all skill for skill great fighters 'But I don't think their individual performances are really great as the media or certain people claim compared to past era's'.
Roy Jones Junior and Floyd Mayweather Junior, were pretty much the last real lower weight class fighters 'Who for me, had some really impressive physical feats of achievement combined with skill'.
Achievements that would of been extremely impressive in any era etc.
good post
The point about Joshua would be true if he wasn’t badly beat up and KOed by one Andy Ruiz. He was thoroughly outclassed, rocked and ultimately beaten into submission by a 5’10 my 600 pound life cast member. It was no lucky punch.
joshua is a very protected and overrated heavyweight champ.
ramirez is better than Joshua with an iron chin. 2 division champ. And outweighed Bivol in the ring by about 20 lbs.
we must also consider that Usyk was badly KOed by Dubois in his last outing. We have to be honest and call this what it was. Usyk was KOed by a legal shot.

Their performances are great within the modern era, but not really on a all-time great scale 'When you really analyse all the factors in the performance'.
Terrence Crawford has stated that outside the ring 'He walks around at 180 + pounds. So him challenging Alvarez, is definitively a legitimate intention. Alvarez on fight night, may only out weigh Crawford by 5 to 10 pounds'.
Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, David Haye, Oleksandr Usyk 'Those fighters many times throughout their careers, encountered weight differentials that were way more than 10 pounds'.
Roy Jones Junior and Floyd Mayweather Junior, were pretty much the last real lower weight class fighters 'Who for me, had some really impressive physical feats of achievement combined with skill'.

PAC lost to JMM and Morales during his prime run.
No such argument against Bivol
Losing shouldn't be a barrier to being no1. How does anyone know the boxer ranked above pac wouldn't also lose to them if same size, and fought as good opponents as pac did?
Pac fought better people, and had better wins that's main thing.
Pac had the best resume and had stepped up more divisions than you know who, but was no2 pfp?
So it's obviously not a mathematical equation that makes you no1, there's more happening under surface

Beltran is a fkn journeyman lol. He had 6 losses at that stage. Imagine trying to bump up Beltran. He won a vacant wbo belt off a 40 year old.

Ricky Burns was a reigning lightweight world titlist at the time of the fight, a former super featherweight world titlist, and a future super lightweight world titlist.
Thomas Delorme?

Where are you performing this stand-up routine? Give me address.
Crawford beat Beltran in a lineal/Ring title fight two fights later, and Beltran later went on to win the title himself. Burns losing to Beltran is no shame, especially considering what they both did after the fight in question.

He was also the guy who needed a blatant robbery to get past Beltran the very fight before he fought Bud. So many of these fighters feast on overrated UK cans and the fans fall for it.

You can try to nitpick pretty much any given win on any given fighter's resume if you want to. The bottom line is Crawford did something only 8 other guys in the history of boxing did when he became lineal champion of three divisions, and he did something only Holyfield and Inoue have done in the 3 or 4 belt eras when he became undisputed in two divisions. There are plenty of soft divisions and soft champions out there in boxing at any given time, but nobody has been able to cherry pick their way to these accomplishments. So respect the fighters who actually do it.
Fitzsimmons, Canzoneri, Ross, Armstrong, Leonard, De La Hoya, Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Crawford. The only 3 division lineal champions.
Holyfield, Crawford, and Inoue. The only 2 division undisputed champions of the 3/4 belt era.
If just anybody could do these things, they would have done them. This isn't Broner or Tank Davis picking off weak titlists. This is becoming the definitive king of three weight classes.

I am aware that Khan and Brook were washed but most fighters have a few washed titlists on their resumes as well and I list them the same way. It's why I list the titlists and the ranked fighters both; for context. Sometimes a good fighter is unranked because he's moving up or down in weight or coming off some inactivity and the title status can be a good indicator; sometimes a former titlist is super washed and the rankings are a better indicator.
It's 14 opponents that were ranked by one of TBRB and/or Ring; some were ranked by one but not the other, most were ranked by both:
Ricky Burns UD12
Yuriorkis Gamboa TKO9
Ray Beltran UD12
Thomas Dulorme TKO6
Dierry Jean TKO10
Viktor Postol UD12
John Molina TKO8
Felix Diaz RTD10
Julius Indongo KO3
Jeff Horn TKO9
Egidijus Kavaliauskas TKO9
Shawn Porter TKO10
David Avanesyan KO6
Errol Spence Jr. TKO9
Inoue has 13 wins over TBRB or Ring ranked opponents, but all 13 of them were current/former/future world titlists as well. And he's a much younger man, so he figures to rack up several more.

He has wins over former/current world titlists Ricky Burns, Yuriorkis Gamboa, Ray Beltran, Viktor Postol, Julius Indongo, Jeff Horn, Amir Khan, Kell Brook, Shawn Porter, and Errol Spence. He has 14 wins against TBRB or Ring Magazine top 10 opponents.

That's a solid but VERY unspectacular list of opponents. I like Bud but his resume severely lacks marquee wins. It's debatable whether Bud has even beaten a single HOF fighter. Is Spence really HOF worthy? I don't think so.
