You downplay Canelo unifying 3 belts at 168, 4 at 168, and challenging 2 champs at 175 plus other reigning champs during that span, but you expect people to be impressed by Benavidez fighting one of the guys he stopped (who David refused to fight when he was undefeated holding a title)haha. Being a distant second to Canelo in the division isn't the flex you make it out to be when he ducked all the fights to be in Canelo's shoes and maintained his status just by keeping his 0 padded. The more you break down their respective career moves the more it shows that at 168 there's the top dog Canelo and there's everybody else. And that's the pathetic about Benavidez, if he had taken the fights on the table for him and won he could have been in the driver's seat both at 168 and 175, but instead he ducked out on smoke in both divisions and continues just to beg for a payday on the side and refuses to fight anyone with upside. everyne that canelo has fought at 168 had worse resumes than benavidez so what you are saying doesnt hold any water. he's done more than every single person he has fought there. canelo also said benavidez has to fight the top guys and then ill fight him. guess what happened? #1 benavidez beat #2 plant. Benvidez's resume is on the same level as a Billy Joe Saunders before Canelo. That is a fair assessment. He has done fuk all to deserve all this dick riding. benavidez has beaten 2 top 5 opponents at 168. saunders beat 0 top 10 opponents at 168. how is that the same level? how is that fair? lying to yourself doesnt make you look credible at all.

Jon Jones in the UFC might have something to say about that record too. Sat out for 3 years to avoid Ngannou, came back the day he left, and fought the guy Ngannou beat with one leg and his worst skillset (wrestling) to win the belt. Now is targeting the other most recent Ngannou leftover, who hasn't fought in 3 years, or had a win in 4 years "for his resume" then wants to retire with just those two "wins" at HW. Yet he's being acclaimed by the UFC fans as the best ever to do it. Also got busted for PEDs like Canelo. Disappointing.
