Literally made his debut against a national champion, beat a future world champion Ring ranked #9 in his 4th fight, won his own first world title in fight 6 against a two time world champ Ring ranked #4, and has fought nothing but title fights ever since. There's not a single active fighter who has a higher level of difficulty in his career. Fully half of his career has been against world champions, most ranked top 4 at the time of fight. He's got a 91% KO rate in world title fights. Go educate yourself. I'm not even going to bother posting a link because you need to learn SOMETHING. Just wow. Go read. Watch some tape.

Start it earlier and some of the garbage gets left out. The latest stuff isn't as impressive as his earlier fights. Inoue has a much better last 10. Canelo won't fight Mexicans. The last thing he wants is to lose to one and the fans jump ship to the next best thing they have. He's content with making million dollar paychecks facing Euro guys that don't have a chance in hell or American opponents that just don't have the fire in them to really give it to him. You can call Bivol Euro, but let's not forget Bivol was pretty damn bigger than Canelo and he totally imposed his size against him. The average Euro guy that is same size as Canelo doesn't have a chance in hell. I expect Canelo to rinse and repeat this formula to retirement. I think this is correct. Worse case scenario for Canelo is to lose his titles against another Mexican at the backend of his career and not being able to win them back. Every interview after he retires he'll have to say how glad he was he could hand over his titles to his fellow Mexican and the next generation and how he would be rooting for the career of his conqueror. Íf Canelo loses his titles against a fellow Mexican (and can't win it back) I think he'll retire to his ranch and will answer any questions with 'I don't follow boxing anymore. In a mediocre era, a mediocre run is going to look great, but give me a little bit of time and I'll dissected for you. Remember that if you want to be like the great ones, you have to fight similar opposition than those of the past, and look good doing it. If you call fat saunders, journeyman ryder, mediocre Smith, yildrim ( another journeyman) greats, that's your prerrogativa, just don't try to push it down other people's throat. PS. I took a quick glance at his last 10 fights, only plant, and we all know he ain't a great fighter, and bivol which I think is elite, are worthy. So out of 10 fighters the elite one beat him up, and he won against Plant, again not bad but nobody is going to confuse him with Marvin Hagler or Carmen Basilio. Didnt think so :wave:
