I'm looking to watch a few fights I may have missed with the criteria of:
Someone spends most of a fight getting pummeled, getting outboxed heavily, made to look like a fool, etc, and then at the very last minute, they either land a lucky KO shot or rally the troops and pull themselves together to land said shot.
Any good suggestions?
Thanks!
Jorge " la locomotora: Castro " vs John David Jackson. This is a great fight.
Castro has such a weird fighting style. Tough as steel, but he took one hellacious beating from Jackson until he didn't. That was fantastic!
Shannon Briggs vs Siarhei Liakhovich for the WBO heavyweight title.
Liakhovich is the reigning champion, Briggs is almost 10 years removed from his brief lineal title reign and is not considered a serious challenger. Liakhovich controls most of the fight and the older, asthmatic Briggs faded and looked gassed for the majority of the time. Trailing on all 3 scorecards in the 12th round, Briggs knocked Liakhovich out of the ring and out of the fight at 2:59 to win the title.
Randal, Knockout King, Bailey vs 26-0 Mike Jones. Lost 8 of the first 9, and 2-1/2 minutes of the 10th. Bailey lowered the boom at the end of the 10th, Jones got up. Got caught again in the 11th and it was over.
Andy Lee vs John Jackson, really devastating one punch ko in a fight Jackson seemed to have well in hand.
Saw the highlights of this one but never got around to watching it in full. That right landed so perfectly. Jackson looked like he was proposing to the canvas.

Pavlik vs Taylor was a good comeback. I thought Pavlov was done at the beginning of the fight.
I remember this one well enough. Pavlik had a great jab but Taylor seemed to have an answer for it more often than not. Incredible stoppage!
