Glad that even Aussies, which included professional boxer Zerafa, think Tim Tzsyu is overrated, and that he's the underdog in the fight with Tony Harrison next month.
Which means fans will have undistracted attention to the clash and should not generate excuses whatever the outcome is -- Harrison wins, no questions asked. Tzsyu wins, he's indeed underrated. We don't wanna hear Harrison has slowed down or any of that nonsense.
Again, I think he's underrated. I'll be proven wrong if he loses.
How did we go from Tim Tszyu being overrated to his father being overrated.
I know Kosta wasn't that overrated because a couple somebody's definitely went out of their way to not fight him:rolleyes:
From what I'm getting, it's probably fair to say Tim Tzsyu vs Tony Harrison is a 50/50 fight.
We'll soon find out just 3 weeks from now.
Thread title should read, "Is Tim Tzsyu underrated?"
overrated?
i mean how high does anyone have him rated in the first place? overrated/underrated means how they are rated compared to their skill/resume, not how great their skill resume is.
HIs dad was more overrated than him. Some people will get rustled I said that because they dont realize the above. His dad is obv far more skilled but still his resume wasnt that great and career ended early.
His son wasnt rated that high to begin with and people really are expecting him to suck but hes decent, I mean he is better than shane mosley's son, so he is probably underrated.
He's not overrated. He's doing what young boxers are supposed to do. Climb the ranks, and then challenge for a world title. He cleaned out basically everyone in his weight class in Australia before coming to the USA. What more could you ask?
Also, I think Harrison is a tougher opponent than Charlo. So props to him. He could have taken an easy fight when Charlo pulled out.
Good to hear that, because I think Tim is underrated. And the Harrison fight might be enough to prove whether I've read Tzsyu's skills right or not.
He's a bumbeater with a lot to prove, he's fought nobody yet and time is tickin away
I think he'll never amount to anything great, it seems that's the inescapable fate of all the sons of great boxers

...by who? I barely see anybody talking about him honestly and I certainly don't see anybody hyping him up like that
You are right. It's a mental lapse on my part. It's supposed to be "underrated." It's true, I've rarely seen anyone giving him any chance of winning against Charlo. Funny part is I would not have realized my mistake had I not come across your post. And so... you might want to answer the question now if you like. Is he underrated?
I don't think he is overrated but he needs more fights. The Harrison fight will prove a lot. I am expecting him to loose but will be impress if he wins and will give him a better chance against Charlo.
Most thing here if it was Charlo he was fighting he was going to loose, it is not calling him overated, Charlo is that good.

Exactly, I don't know which claims about his abilities I'm supposed to evaluate to see if they over rate him or not.
Overated by whom?
He's a good fighter, I think we've established that much. The Harrison fight should give us a much better idea where he stands in the division and whether he can go all the way.
i dont think hes overrated if anything he is underrated alot of people dont rate him highly at all and think hes an easybeat for tony
but after the harrison fight alot more people will jump on the bandwagon he will win and win very impressively
he very well could be the sleeping giant of the division a bit unproven but u can only beat whats put in front of you and he will beat tony
I have no doubt he is overrated, the Harrison fight is a real danger fight although Tony is on the slide and a long way from home. I took a bet on Gausha to beat him I was looking for a KO and when he dropped him early I thought right we're in with a good shot here, but Terrel just when through the motions.
Tim does lots of things wrong his next fight will reveal a lot.
