Broner said Floyd does want other fighters to do good but not better than him. And if you are doing good he wants his name attached some how.
I noticed with Floyd if there is another big fight out there that is getting a lot of attention Floyd has do something to steal it’s thunder.
canelo vs ggg 1 was set to happen then Floyd makes the mcgregor fight 2 weeks before that to steal Ppv money/ticket sales.
Floyd even tried to go after his own promoted fighters tank/rolly (tank was saying publicly he was leaving) and held a press conference the day of his own fighters press conference and was set to have his exhibition a week before their fight but than it got moved.
and finally Yes I am reaching and have no real evidence to back this claim but I think the reason why we haven’t got a date for the Spence vs Crawford fight yet is because it just came out that Floyd might do a rematch with mcgregor and he will want to put his fight right before theirs to try and lessen their Ppv money and attention.
I think out of all the fights Floyd does not want Spence vs Crawford to do well because they are both UNDEFEATED CHAMPIONS fighting to be undisputed at welterweight something I think Floyd never accomplished. Floyd looked agitated when reporters kept asking him about that fight and instead of the next exhibition has lined up.
Anyone wants to refresh us again the specifics of what Broner said about Mayweather? I did hear Broner in the video I posted that everyone was against him, that "they don't want me in nice cars, they don't want me in private jets, they don't want me with rolex..." What was that all about?
Mayweather will always be upset that people don’t care about him. He’s a great fighter but as a person nobody looks up to Mayweather, if your about $$$ then I guess he’s up your alley but outside of $$$ Mayweather is a terrible person. Let’s not forget what he did to his kids mother.
His insecurities drive him, so in my book that is fine. From what I can see? He backs his fighters 100%, inside and outside the ring.
He is one of the best promoters in the game.
Deal with it.
What am I dealing with? Da fuq? It's not that serious to me at all. Just an observation and you started making justifications as if he needs your defense. Agree to disagree.

- - l'l floydy still smartin' for not making March 13th, 2010 scratch line he reserved at MGM for Manny.
He scared to go head to head in PPV wif Manny vs Clottey in Cowboy stadium packed wif 40K fans.
That's fine when it fuels you to greater heights etc but it's also disingenuous to mask them as something else. I've followed his entire career and was a fan until the very end. He was insecure everywhere but the ring, where it mattered.
If we're going to use that competitiveness angle as a reason for him to constantly attempt to undermine and upstage the next generation, we're operating on a slippery slope. Especially if some of those fighters are ones he is promoting. He can be great and also called on his bs.

Sometimes insecurities can drive people to do great things. Some people may have insecurities about losing, or not giving their all.
Some of the most influential people of all time in business and sport, deep down have some form of insecurity. That is why they can appear up tight, removed from society or not normal.
You can mock Mayweather all you want, but post retirement 'He is still a competitor'. It may look a certain way to people, but I just see it as him competing.
If he has insecurities, big deal.

This is one of my favorites on Broner when I want some laughs...

Bronzer was funny when he wasn't saying corny sh*t
I think it's more insecurity to be honest.

Would be more interesting if you add visual context in this thread. It's the age of youtube images. Few want to see walls of text without clips, tiktoks, any video...
I don't agree with everything you said.
But Mayweather is still a competitor, and that is how he goes about his business 'Inside or outside the ring'.
Highly competitive. I don't think it is bad thing, in the boxing promoting business.

He’s an attention wh*** plain and simple. I’m not a Floyd hater, best fighter of his generation, deservedly retired undefeated but he just can’t let it go. The man constantly craves attention, he desperately craves it. He’s a f***ing multimillionaire and he’s doing double glazing adverts, water gun adverts, NFT scams, damaging his brand getting involved with YouTubers etc. It’s crazy tbh. I know some people think it’s because he’s blew his money but I don’t believe that in the slightest, I just think he does all this sh** purely for attention, the financial side of things is secondary to what Floyd truly craves.

I don’t think it’s being competitive it’s being petty. No showing your own fighters press conference is one thing but not showing up because you was busy doin your own press conference THE SAME DAY and having your exhibition a week before your own fighters fight just shows your being spiteful and not competitive.
How did Floyd/Conor steal ppv/ sales from Canelo/GGG 1?
Most boxing fans are on a budget(atleast they sound that way when talking about paying for Ppv) so they are going to be real selective on what they spend money on. That’s why you don’t want two big event real close together.
for example I was going to fury Vs wilder but then pacquiao vs Spence got announced and I think they was less than a month apart originally until it got postponed and I only had the money for one trip to Vegas so I cut off the fury/ wilder fight for the pac/Spence fight
I don't agree with everything you said.
