How much bigger is Bivol than say... Caleb Plant?

He is not going to be a better fighter at 168 pounds. That is a fact. He will make the weight, but he will not be a better fighter. Alvarez is probably going to be a better fighter at 168 pounds. I just think the fight at 168 pounds,is unnecessary. Let's be real, as far as size goes Bivol isn't much bigger than most people Canelo has faced lately. He's smaller than Mundo. It wasn't all size that won him that fight. He isnt really any bigger than Plant but I suspect he is alot more physically strong and was disciplined to a serious degree. Game plan and execution won Bivol the fight above size

Bivol will be weakened. I don't think fighters know what they are doing these days. The culture of weight draining, has distorted their perceptions. Bivol beats canelo at 168 as well as everything is comparable. Bivol said he can make 168 comfortably and his size , reach will still be the same but his reflexes and foot speed will be sharper as well plus canelo punch will not carry the same weight as him being 175. Styles wise he just has canelo’s number and canelo needs to be very careful because if his pride won’t allow him to not fight Bivol then we could very well see him lose all his belts 168 and probably the end of his career at the very highest level. I believe Bivol makes 168 easily. He is not a big puncher anyway, he is more sharp combo operator. If he drops a little weight that will not hurt him IMO. he is a small light heavy, his style is adopted on fighting bigger guys. Yes, he would have less power at 168, but Canelo would have even much less power.

Bivol didn't look like he wanted to look nice with his style but to win the fight in any way possible. 183 according to Bivol.

Caleb Plant started his career at 160. Bivol fought at 178 in the amateurs. Bivol fought at 165 (ammy MW) until late 2011 when he was nearly 21. That's the same weight Plant was competing at at the same age. And when Plant turned pro at age 21 he was likely rehydrating well into the 170s, hell even bigger JMWs hit 170+ after rehydration. Also worth noting that just cos an ammy fights in a particular weightclass doesn't mean they come to the ring at the class limit... the ammy sport rewards speed and technique more so it's not necessarily such an advantage trying to come in as big as possible. Bivol claims he was 183 in the ring vs Canelo which is probably in the ballpark that Plant reaches... maybe a touch more since my eyes say that Bivols got a slightly more robust frame but OTOH Plants a touch taller. Either way, not a huge amount in it.

I think it is time to admit he is just better boxer than all guys Canelo fought at 168. You got that right Callum Smith let Alvarez waltz into his punching range without tagging him with even a jab in his face. Smith has more of decided height and reach advantage than Bivol. Plant was boxing Canelo but got tired and then started getting slowly broken down. Saunders was about even on an honest score card until his eye socket cracked.

I think when you said robot we all assumed the big stiff Euro robot archetype were all accustomed to seeing in the ring. Funny thing is now that some of the most dynamic fighters today are European like Usyk, Loma, and Bivol (Russian I know). I just think it's odd that people assumed that - when I outlined what I meant by robot in the very next sentence. But I do understand that for some it has a negative connotation.
