Errol Spence is a straight up fighter. Since that car accident his fights have been up and down but that performance against Ugas was special. To me, that was a Chavez-Like performance, Spence went in chest to chest and hit dude everywhere, every round! Spence was no nonsense in the ring, he's not playing around hot doggin, under-training or not taking the sport seriously.
For the past year I've been leaning towards Crawford but that performance against a strong fighter like Ugas got me back in the Spence camp.
What BS did he say, I remember he said he wanted to unify WW and has systematically ticked everyone off the list the last one is TC and he is pursuing him next, there was no chance the fight could happen while Arum was pulling the strings, from what I can see he has done what he said he would do.
You read what I posted. He said that BEFORE the whole unification talk....."he needs a belt 1st"
I think Spence is fantastic, I never miss one of his fights. I also think Crawford is fantastic and I never miss one of fights. I can't wait for their fight against each other but if I favour Crawford to win don't take that as hatred for Errol Spence.
If I say Spence has been avoiding fighting Crawford plz don't take that as hate because he had admitted it himself, he was going the easy route and saving Crawford till last. If I don't agree that Spence is a mega star that rivals Canelo as the face of the sport please don't take it as hate it is just an opinion based on numbers.
I have signatures turned off but If you check my signature. I've had that since seeing him in the olympics.
Spence is THAT dude.
And he's going to beat Crawford.
Dude hits like a mule and it doesn't waver. It's the same from round 1 to round 12. Putting holes in people's defense. He stays right in the danger zone; right within range the entire fight. Which, if you've boxed before, puts a heightened level of pressure on a fight for both fighters. But Spence doesn't care. Dude just stands there, mercilessly, throwing leather but with an air-tight game. Defense, fundamentals, footwork. He's not a Margarito, he doesn't get into slug fest, but he stays right there, like GGG but with more athleticism.
I always rooted for him because of the body punching, he is one of the few bringing that high caliber body work of old. And since he was one of the "chosen" guys I wanted him to succeed because he would have more entertaining top level fights than what Floyd was leaving us with at the tail end.
I went to most Floyd fight weekend; and a lot of the time on the trip back we would talk about all types of things: how much money we spent, how drunk we got, how fun the parties were, the women...everything except for the damn fight we just watched. Not a dig at Floyd just to say that when I was projecting out Spence's career, I was thinking that would be a nice change to have his style fighting in marquee fights. I hoped the casual people would also get to see those fights that build to a crescendo and that's what Spence's style can bring. He came around at the right time I thought - there was too much credence to the "hit and not get hit" mentality and that's only one philosophy of many
BUT...gooood damn it has taken a long time. Way longer than I would have expected and he's nearly blew it all after being handed to him. All handed to him and he almost fumbled big time, really not sure what to think about that. There's some entitlement that has revealed itself imo
But I still like him - and after the Ugas fight it's looks like he's really "back" (even though I'm questioning his durability)...but he's strong enough to make those fights we want. Really glad he is still around. Pretty sure we've all had a favorite fighter have to retire or die suddenly - it's impossible to fill those void so I'm glad boxing still has hiim
I root for him, but not against TC. He's getting thrashed in that fight
When I first heard about that accident I was legitimately scared, concerned, and worried. I'm glad he pulled through, even more happy no one else was involved in the accident or in the car with him. He/we lucked out, we could have been wondering what could have been but fortunately we can still witness something great in the ring involving Spence. Either way he or Crawford got a lot to gain from this fight. However if and when they fight what do they do next, what fight would generate the same interest, it may be all downhill after that.
Its not that I dont like him, its that the excuses for NOT fighting Crawford were bullsh.it....
"He needs a belt 1st"
"Hes across the street"
"80/20 or 70/30"
He shouldve just kept it 100 with the "clean up his side" and Bud after, w/o saying anything else.

Yeah this is one! I thought it was on tomorrow night.
I always ask people’s thoughts on fight cards, there are people far more knowledgeable than me on here.
What fights are you looking forward to?
Fury-Whyte, Canelo-BIvol, Kambosos-Haney, Charlo-Castano all come to mind. AJ-Usyk if it happens
Is this the card you're talking about? The one that you didn't even know about until a couple hours ago? Lol

I think you’re not much of a boxing fan.
Any fights you looking forward to on this card?

I wasn't trying to single out him or anyone else directly, but overall my point stands. 90% of posters on here rate fighters almost exclusively on 'party' lines.
You sound like a fucking moron
Are you watching the Italian card?
roadblock is australian iirc. Hes not biased towards black american fighters if thats what you're implying

I'm asking you directly - do you rate guys like AB and GGG as highly or higher than Spence?
I'm not talking about what the media says, I'm talking about what you guys on here are saying - the guys who are rating Spence, and asking why people don't like him -
I'm asking you if you rate those 2 guys similarly to Spence? Are you as big of fans of those guys? That's what this thread is about.
Spence for me is pretty much with GGG Id say, and ahead of AB, but that could all change in a year from now.
Oh stfu with the BS it's because ones Mexican and the other is black plain n simple for you clown. Double standards like mfer. Spence fighting the "best" yea ****in right hypocrite
Best my ass.
Why hasnt he faced Bud? Why's hasn't he faced Vigil Ortiz? No different than Canelo/Benavidez right idiot? Why hasn't he faced Ennis? Ennis has for more fights than David and both Virgil and Ennis are the same fuxkin AGE as David!!!!!!!
Ya mfer have been exposed with your double standards.Don’t you dare make this a color/racial issue. The thing is the truth hurts.
While Spence is out here grinding and busting his tail fighting the best opponents available; Your guy is busy scouting his next cherry pick opponent on the sidelines.
Spence is aiming to make history by becoming the first undisputed welterweight champion of the world in the four belt era in perhaps the deepest division of talent in the entire sport of boxing.
Once Spence’s important business with Bud Crawford is over then we can discuss the Virgil Ortiz’ of the world. Better yet why don’t Virgil Ortiz fight Jaron Ennis instead?
