Dillian Whyte along with Eddie Hearn have whined and pouted for years about not getting a shot at the WBC title.
The opportunity finally arrives and he doesn't even show up to the press.
Why didn't he? Is he still with the whiny and pouty attitude? Or is there a legit reason to why he didn't make it to the press.
Note: What Whyte is making in this fight is probably the most he has ever made for a fight, and it is UNprofessional to not show up to a title fight conference.

How does physical prime relate to marketability and drawing power you lunatic? :lol1:
You do realise Floyd Mayweather’s two biggest PPV blockbusters were at the age of 38 and 40, don’t you?
Khan is obviously a far bigger star now than he was in 2009, as I said the figures you posted are completely irrelevant.
Whyte isn’t anywhere near Khan’s level in terms of popularity. It’s not even close.
dumb comparison, floyd mayweather is one of the all time greats who got better with age from all angles. he was a much smarter fighter with age, in great condition, the complete A side and owning his shows and being paid silly money. He could fight a potatoe now and it would sell 1m ppv buys.
im on about when amir khan was on the hypetrain. he has only been seen as a joke figure in boxing and outside of boxing for years and years.
Amir's overall more 'famous' but he isn't popular...he is hated and like i said a joke figure. known for chatting up trannies, his dodgy wife, dodgy chin and skype...
as such, it doesnt equate to ppv buys. whyte vs parker did 800k ppv buys in the uk which is better than wilder vs fury 1 btw ~(it generated more money)
whyte fought aj too early...he def has a lot of fans interested in him but only when he fights the big fights and he has all that to come. how much will whyte vs fury do? whyte vs aj 2?
we know that sky sports have spent a lot of money recently promoting their events in order to bring boxxer/ben shalom that exposure. as such khan has benefited. it doesnt mean 'he' is otherwise all that popular. it's just like when espn/fox spent around $20m to promote/advertise the fury vs wilder 2 fight and it did 850k ppv buys. they prob lost money on that fight aswell after the money spent.
as an example, if i pay facebook or google for an ad and it brings in more views...yes my website(s)/business will be more popular. more people technically know my business exists, but what good is it if they just know but arent actively spending?
btw even google trends reflect the manipulation hrough social media marketing campaigns. so if you see someone/something blowing up on google trends that's down to the money being spent on social media/google ads once again.
look at something less prone to manipulation that reflects attitudes more accurately, in this case us british boxing fans...like say...ifl videos.
has whyte done better or amir khan?
time to look this up, im that confident whyte is bigger with boxing fans...
amir khan's most popular vid has done 1.1m views...where phil le greco insulted his wife and he threw water at him...obv hat video would have received a lot of views from pakistani females aswell (the whole faryal drama)
whyte vs chisora beef, 1.3m
chisora throwing a table at whyte 2m
basically whyte has far more views on his videos.
oh and btw khan vs brook did 500k ppv buys.
Wikipedia is factual now? You definitely never went to University. :lol1:
Those numbers are around 13 years old. How are they relevant? That’s why they’re nonsensical. Nonsensical means impractical, meaningless etc. You clearly just didn’t understand the language I was using.
Khan is unquestionably a far bigger name now compared to 2009. How’s that even debatable?
I was going to respond to the Wikipedia findings also. But I was waiting for someone else to, LOL
Yeah it’s great money. It’s highly likely the biggest purse he’ll ever get. It’s 6m in £’s and that’s a massive amount for a fighter of Whyte’s stature.
People need some perspective. Froch who was the A Side and had already established himself as a big star in the UK only got 8m vs Groves, Groves only got 2m. Joshua who’s 10x the star Whyte is got 10m vs Klitschko and as I said to the other guy Khan who is a way bigger star than Whyte only got 5m vs Brook the other week. Whyte and his fanbase are completely delusional if they think £6m is unfair for a guy having his first ever world title shot.
Facts.
The LITTLE fan base of Whyte will do anything to defend his bratty ways (like all fan boys do of their favorite fighters).
I think Whyte is acting quite foolish in all this.
So you replied to factual numbers with a link to a post that doesn't give a factual number? And then called the factual numbers nonsensical?

- - Whyte making Flubber and U eat shyte.
Yeah like I said earlier, 8 million is probably more than Whyte has ever mad for a fight in his career.
I wouldn't call that him being 'mistreated', LOL

Whyte is a crybaby manchild thats why,he has to create drama because hes an entitled whiny bich
Wouldn't that make him more inclined to go to the presser? To whine as you say?
Because imo being silent isn't whining.
The funny thing is if Hearn won the purse bid Whyte would be getting even less money. I thought I read something along the lines of the winner getting an additional 4 million?
Exactly.
Which is why Whyte should stop acting like a little spoiled crybaby.
He got it pretty good, he should take advantage of the opportunity and build his stock while his not-so-reputable name is next to Fury's.
He isnt a name, and is getting 8 million and he is getting a win bonus should he prevail
if he wins he will become a name
I mean according to some people out there, Whyte is a name.
But the way I see it, he is not much of a name in HW.
Thar was well over a decade ago and the Maidana fight was in the early hours of the morning. Khan was nowhere near as established back then. Completely irrelevant.
Khan-Brook likely did near a million buys, maybe more per reports.

Amir is loved by the British media. He’s a bonafide celebrity in the UK. Whyte isn’t and never will be.
What a nonsensical post… :lol1:

He needs time to build up the courage to go face to face with Kronk Fury. Nash believes that he will turn up for his beating though. Fury has already won the first face off, he'll win the final press conference, then he will win the fight. Fury 3 Whyte 0. Nash out.
If Whyte needs to 'build up' courange, he needs to leave the dang sport at this point, LOL
Whyte is a crybaby manchild thats why,he has to create drama because hes an entitled whiny bich
I mean, that's how I see it.
Whyte being his old crybaby, whiny pouty self making himself look worse in a situation where he can really build his stock a lot more.
We’ll see how much he “needs” Whyte when the numbers are released.
Whyte isn’t even a big draw over here, you guys are delusional man. :lol1:
Amir Khan who is a far bigger name than Whyte ever will be over here, only got 5m versus Kell Brook yet you think Whyte is being mistreated in getting 8 MILLION. Absolutely delusional…
Yeah like I said earlier, 8 million is probably more than Whyte has ever mad for a fight in his career.
I wouldn't call that him being 'mistreated', LOL
Because he doesn't have to, he doesn't want to and he is pissed off that he's not getting the standard 25%.
"He looks unprofessional". Like he gives a fuck.
The funny thing is if Hearn won the purse bid Whyte would be getting even less money. I thought I read something along the lines of the winner getting an additional 4 million?
Great point actually. I think there is some sort of winner’s bonus involved.
the fact is amir in his prime has done crap ppv numbers, whether it was in the US or UK. saying 'oh but it was 10 years ago' doesnt mean anything. in fact boxing is more saturrated now, back then amir and haye were all that was known and amir still did 200k ppv buys at best.
As for brook vs khan numbers, whilst that figure isnt out yet, i know sky sports spent more money on promotion and marketing than ever before. that doesnt mean amir khan is a draw, it means sky have paid for the audience by marketing it. it's like when wilder-fury 1 did 250k ppv buys. The second fight did 850k ppv buys because fox and espn spent HUGE on ads. the whole argument over being a 'big name' becomes irrelevant, it's about what it cost and the return.
it was also amir's last fight and a fight that built up over years.
Fury vs Whyte would do much bigger numbers if it was on sky sports right now. Whyte has consistently done better numbers than amir khan and that's all that matters.
also, the british media took the p1ss out of amir khan for years and rightly so. chatting up trannies, stroking on skype, his dog ugly plastic wife...i would be embarassed to walk in public if that was me. 'big name' smh...he's been the most hated boxer in the uk for 10 years. 'well known' yeh for the wrong reasons.
im certain most people watched it to see brook light him up.
whyte is actually loved by most british boxing fans. Him and chisora are characters. we wont get characters like that in a long time.
