US fans need to get behind DAZN

It was bad enough in the HBO and Showtime days when you had two separate boxing leagues going on. Now you have PBC, ESPN and DAZN. Three leagues is way worse for fans than two. Ideally there'd just be one league so everyone would have to fight each other. Since DAZN is by far in the weakest position in the US, fans here really should be rooting for DAZN to go out of business so their fighters can go to PBC and ESPN and we can go back to just having two leagues. Exactly. I'd rather DAZN fail speedily, as long as Hearn is there. I wish GBP gets a lucrative deal with Fox, Showtime, or ESPN. DAZN is Eurocentric. It doesn't appeal to people like me.

What does it tell you about the state of PBC when Thurman v Barrios and Ortiz v Martin are PPV. DAZN are putting on Chocolatito v Estrada III and Smith v Vargas in January on subscription. If you don't feel enough fights on DAZN were worth only $100 bucks yearly than so be it. Myself,I'm a fan of the sport and not individual fighters or promoters so I support any business ventures like DAZN that attempts to give us most content at a minimal price. i personally hope that we can all agree that boxing would be better without "promoters". the promotional company fanboys are absurd to me. that has to be someone on the clock.

Some Americans seem to be under the impression that DAZN is some sort of foreign invasion and by not having it and constantly complaining about it or generally crapping on it they are doing their front line defensive duties for the nation. Also we got these PBC fangimp morons who see DAZN and Eddie Hearn as the white devil sent to destroy Al Haymon and his black business for black Boxers. They are fkking stupid but most of these are not actual Boxing fans they are all about using the sport for their racial narratives. But either way, if they are happy to spend thousands on weak PPV's with pathetic undercards while crying about the price of an App and the Boxing it provides then that is up to them. I have DAZN, but I am cancelling until they have another fight I want. I've had it for months because I forgot about it, then every time I was about to cancel there was a fight I didn't mind watching. None of my favorite boxers fight on DAZN. You talk about people being happy to spend thousands, but it's not that simple. The choice isn't pay for an app or PPV, we pay to watch who we want. Nobody would complain if all the fights we wanted were on DAZN. The choice for me is pay every now and then for the fights I want or pay DAZN for fighters I'm not a fan of.

I don't agree at all. Nobody needs to get behind DAZN, if they don't want to. They are a business. People have the right to decide not only about the product itself (the fighters) but also the presentation and the philosophical attitude of a rich, arrogant white POS promoter, like Hearn. In short, Eddie Hearn is not getting a sprinkle of my cents. He should contain his imperial attitude in the UK. As someone else has said, I'm also not that interested in the product, it's Eurocentric. The ones I wanna see I'd find a way to watch. The only boxers that really interest me about that app are GBP fighters, like William Zepeda and Seniesa Estrada. Katie Taylor is a must watch for me as well. I'll find another way to watch those when they fight. I wouldn't mind if Hearn and his app are frozen out of US boxing business, period. I felt that way since I first saw the snake oil salesman speaking.

they would be more successful if they pronounced the brand as "dazzin". i was actually at a bar talking boxing with an irish transplant and he mentioned DAZN and some of the fights coming up, took me a few to realize he was talking about dazzin. he got a kick out of that I pronounced it Dazzin for a while until I actually heard the network pronounce it thier way. I still prefer Dazzin.

No but, they're the network that gave you 6 Canelo fights on subscription, PBC got one and charged you $80 for it. You should support the network trying to deliver enough value that you don't mind paying for it. 6 fights against nobody I wanted to see him fight.
