Who did he not fight that was at the top of the same division while he was winning World titles there?
That’s another issue. I’m saying if you think Burns, Gamboa, Beltran and Postol are “really good” fighters, then your standards are low.

So Porter who’s fought many quality fighters and has never been anywhere close to being stopped is gonna get KOed by an uppercut? The weakest of the power punches? Naaaaaaaaa
What did I tell you? The uppercut started it all.
I really can't see Josh Taylor, Teofimo Lopez, Devin Haney, Shakur Stevenson, or anybody that could move up 147 beating Crawford unless age catches up to Bud.
Josh Taylor is the real deal doe. You'll soon see.
Skill plus mental toughness. He's got it.
I used to give Crawford a hard time a few years back, not because I thought he wasn't talented but being a Lomachenko fan the Loma-Crawford talks back then used to heat up quite a bit, but I always felt Crawford was super talented though. His resume doesn't match his talents but it's also not as bad as some people make it out to be.
I used to think Crawford-Spence was 50-50 but I think Spence is not the same anymore; I might actually pick Crawford big in that fight now. Well, let's how Spence looks before we go too crazy.
Honestly, I think the only 2 threats for Crawford in the near future at Welterweight are Vergil Ortiz and Jaron Ennis. Those guys are huge Welterweights and Crawford won't get any younger.
I always felt Crawford's style would age well, so he may still be really good into his late 30s but that's something we will have to analyze fight by fight. Obviously he won't be peak forever, but I think he can still beat the majority of guys around his division even at an older age.

That's how talented I think Crawford is. I think only Ortiz or Ennis may get him and that's because those guys are big Welters.
Before I say too much let's see how he performs today though. On paper this may be the best opponent he's faced.
All depends on how he beats Porter. He needs to get credit for it no matter what. Porter will be his first high level opponent at 147 who isn’t a shell of his former shelf. I do think Crawford can KO Porter, but I don’t know if it will happen. I wouldn’t place that bet as betting man. Overall, I got Crawford winning a 8-4 type of fight. Porter is going to be walking into hooks and uppercuts all night, he might possibly get stopped.
If he beats Porter in dominating style, then there's no need to fight another PBC fighter.
I'd like to see him against Josh Taylor next. Which is easier to make if Taylor wants it.
Nah he needs to fight Spence. Crawford should sign with PBC after this fight. Far better options for him at 147.
people test negative that actually did have it.
Maybe Crawford has had it as well then. Hopefully it doesn’t effect him too.
Stop with the hypothetical BS. Porter is still a top quality fighter. No excuses.

I think Crawford will be a lot more disciplined than usual, I think he’ll use his feet and box off the back foot, I may be wrong but I feel like that’s how he’ll approach this matchup.
Crawford is more versatile and can do more things in the ring so that's his big advantage. The thing is he does get hit clean every single fight despite being as dominant as he is, so it will do him some good being a bit more conservative and safe. Porter's foot speed and just how he is able to move his feet is something people overlook in all of his fights. That really bugs the crap out of the opponent and he can get to the side of you and turn you before you realize what the hell is happening lol. He's also cleaned up his punches in recent years and isn't as wild. He was a very good football player in HS and he definitely has those RB type of feet.
Also, Porter was fighting guys MUCH bigger than Crawford growing up in the amateurs. Dude fought some heavy punchers and obviously has a great chin. I don't think he's going to fear Crawford like his recent opponents and will be willing to test his chin, especially in the early going. The thing is no Bud opponent ever has any success in the second half of the fight. Spence in a way took over in the second half of the fight and won majority of those rounds against Porter. Can Porter be the first to win some of those second half of the fight rounds vs Bud? Or will Bud adjust in ways that Porter just can't do anything and it is another routine win?
CAN'T WAIT!
Professional has nothing to do with it. It's documented that lungs are damaged from it. Can't ignore a potential impact.
What I'm saying though, is if Crawford loses, I need NSB to be consistent.
When Whyte got sparked out by PEDvetkin, NSB said that he lost to a COVID patient. Which was true - Alex had caught it and recovered.
I want to see the same said here if Porter wins: that NSB's favorite P4P took an L from a COVID suffererer.
I just want consistency.
When Povetkin knocked Whyte out he hadn’t even had COVID yet. :lol1:
Wrong one. I've been on record as a Porter fan.
But the man had COVID.
We don't know what effect it had.
He’s a professional athlete, I’m sure he’s good.
I have Crawford by decision as well. But Porter is going to sit down and bang early on I think to see how Crawford reacts. He said he knows how to push Crawford's buttons and he's going to try to do that from the opening bell. Going to see quite a few adjustments by both fighters. What I'm interested in seeing is if Crawford is able to switch as much and if Porter just jumps right on him when he tries to switch. Crawford is very good when throwing off the back foot but Porter's footwork and ability to turn fighters really makes it difficult. Crawford has long arms so if Porter can smother him, he can get the best of some exchanges.
Porter took away Spence's jab and that was huge. Can he do the same against Bud? If so? He's going to be right there with Bud until the end. If not? It's going to be awfully hard to win.

Will the people who claim he’s a “hype job” or “hasn’t fought anybody” finally give him some credit?
I will say ''IT'S ABOUT TIME !''
No credit. Bud is late to the ''I Beat Porter'' show.
I agree man. If he dominates Porter it’s a massive statement, I think Porter will have some moments too tbh, but I got Crawford by UD.

You Guys say he's #1 P4P.
#1 P4P doesn't have tight fights with a guy who lost to the upper echelon.
I don't have him #1 P4P and Porter has competed with everyone. Just beat him and that's good enough for me.
