VIDEO - British fans disgusting display booing the BEST REFEREE stoppage ever when Alycia Baumgardner knocked Terri Harper out on her feet | BoxingScene Community
Why the hell were they booing for several minutes non stop? that was one of the best stoppages Ive seen, I keep watching the replay and that ref saw that Harper was out on her feet she was standing up but not there and he saved her from serious follow up punishment that could have been career ending.
Harper body was momentarily paralyzed, this Baumgardner has serious heavy hands though, she can be a threat with her power if she lets those bolos go.

The thing is, Harper is not popular amongst normal boxing fans. Natasha Jonas is actually liked and we saw Jonas get robbed. I hate to say it like this, but Harper's little fanbase are lesbians...and yet, prob the ones there were fannying themselves over her loss. Just my take.
Most the fans were there in sheffield to watch their guy Galahad fight. Why would they give an eff about Harper man?
Post of the day right there.

The reception Harper got was excellent. I had good seats and you could see it was a good stoppage.idiots at the back.

Great stoppage. The only explanation I can see for the booing (other than coked up, boozed up casuals that don't know shit about boxing you get at the big shows) is that maybe they didn't see she was out on her feet when the ref jumped in, as it did happen pretty fast.
Most likely the former though.
One of my favourite ever boxing moments was when Kovalev destroyed Cleverly and the Welsh crowd booed and he got on the ropes and gave them an up yours gesture. If I wasn't already I'd have became an instant fan.
I gotta see that lol, Kovalev in his prime was a beast too bad he let the bottle get to him he was a drunk foolk toward the end of his career and took boxing half assed.

Big props to Baumgardner though, super impressed... always respect challengers who are willing to come to the UK or anywhere on the road to take the titles. I'd apologise for the piss poor behaviour of my compatriots if I thought it was in any way a meaningful thing to do.:lol1:
She was literally a punching bag at that point. What was the ref supposed to do
yeah its pretty sad the fans were booing continuously even during baumgardners interview. Harper could have had some serious brain trauma, her freezing up like that on her feet and not being able to move shows she already suffered some trauma the ref was quick with it and did the right thing.
