I disagree. Pedraza got knocked out by Davis and decisioned by Lomachenko, but said Lachenko was better (at least back then).
it’s possible for someone who knocks someone out to not necessarily be as good.
playing Along with all the recent talk of Floyd and Pacquiao — Pacquiao knocked the spark out many boxers Floyd decisooned, but Floyd still was the better fighter even though Pacquiao reached greater career achievements.
Triangle theory proves to be horseshit as often as it proves prophetic, but as always it would be something to point to and argue about passionately on the internet, so it couldn't be dismissed entirely.
He already is in my opinion. I also think Spence and his owners feel the same way hence no fight and pure dismissal when ever pushed on If Spence even wants that fight. Hopefully Errol is true to his word and fights Crawford when he gets to the back of that queue he put Crawford at.
Him stopping or not stopping Porter shouldn't really have to do with favoring or not favoring him vs Spence. Different match up.
Would be a great statement stopping Porter though.
This is the correct answer.
No low blow (Khan).
No holding and hitting (Kavaliauskas)
No windmill for a trigger ref (Horn).
Porter's not injured, so there won't be a Benavidez moment, and Porter's fully motivated, so there won't be a Kell Brook moment.
If Crawford gets a CLEAR knockout or a CLEAR stoppage - where it cannot be refuted that Porter's life was in imminent danger - then I will concede Crawford as a threat.
However, I know Shawn Porter, and the most likely outcome is a close SD or close UD, and more likely a robbery one way or the other. Because Porter comes to win, period. Nobody can name a fight where that guy didn't work his ass off to get the W.
Plus, I know Crawford's temper. Once he eats a headbutt, he's going to get pissed off, he's going to go to war and that's Porter's strength, not his, as Gamboa taught him.

That's what I am thinking too. (Kell Brook was over the hill and not suitable for 147 though)
I've had doubts about this high level boxing IQ that people rave for Crawford about. To me, he looks like an athletic boxer with KO power in both hands. But generally, he is windmilling or fighting like Walters basically. More puncher-than-boxer type.
I'm not sure he makes the adjustments to Porter's brawling style. Now if Porter comes in there trying to box him like Bradley did Pacquiao, he might actually get KO'd by Crawford.
well I favor him over Spence now. His fight with Danny Garcia showed me nothing
Yeah cause Danny fought to survive. He even disappointed his father who said we cant win if you dont throw punches.
that man was fully aware of his mortality in that fight with The Truth, Errol Spence Jr
