How good is Plants chin?( Because I see a Ko)

Pretty damn good IMO. He took some bombs before the 11th.

plant tucked his chin and covered with the shoulder roll, from that position it was hard to get a full force punch into him, like the kind of shot canelo timed khan with. eventually he got that shot in the late rounds when plant got tired. when you watch the replay you can see canelo really get leverage in that hook that first put him down. he wasnt getting that leverage in the early rounds

I always give credit, I predicted Canelo can get to Plant down the stretch in most prediction threads. I still maintain Canelo hasn’t got great power. He has good power, sharp puncher that you have to be wary of. But I still don’t feel he’s got tremendous one punch power in the grand scheme of things, nor does he need it. my point was usually referring to people thinking he’s just going to walk through world class fighters in 2 rounds because he’s some monster puncher. He’s not and he can’t do that. Hes an accumulation puncher,though tonight he started walking Plant down on some JCC v Camacho type sht:lol1:

I don't. Canelo only chins old and past it (Or never was good) fighters. That’s what I’ve been saying? Who does he really knock out? BJS dipped into a shot that caused a freak injury, that probably doesn’t happen another 99 times, He never looked like he could wobble or drop him. Jacobs had been stopped and dropped by fighters and Canelo couldn’t put a dent in him. Cotto had been hurt and stopped by smaller men but Canelo couldn’t hurt him. The list goes on.. the only fighters he’s put on the floor in about the last 5 years are Yildirim who was stopped quicker and more brutally by Eubank at Middleweight, and he stopped Kovalev that had been stopped twice in his few previous fights and nearly stopped by Yarde in his fight 8 weeks before the Canelo fight. Maybe he does stop Plant but it really won’t say much for plant at all if Canelo walked through him in a few rounds. I think Plant is a very skilled fighter in his own right(but he doesn't have the skin thickness in his face,nor the ability to fight out of taking punishment (he seems to like weathering the storm sort speak when getting attacked by Uzi,which is suicide against Canelo unless your name is Ggg imo at least) I'm not saying he has khans chin, I'm saying that just like Khan he might win a rd or 2 early before getting timed & kod by accumulated body shots followed by a left hook to the R eye,then a right hook/uppercut to Plants chin) Thoughts? predictions? Can you haters start giving me credit for how accurate my picks usually are?

I dont see where plant has a chance. he shucks and jives around the ring thinking he is a defensive wizard but gets hit more then he should. he dont punch that hard and he hardly throws any punches. he will run from canelo until he catches him then he is out.

It’s going to be a mix between mental and physical pressure that will be Plant’s undoing. But I’m still betting 200 on Plant. If he wins I get 2500. Those odds are too good to pass up. He marks up EASILY. Even if he has a solid chin he is easy to cut and mark up. I’ve seen him go from looking fine to looking like he’d been in a car crash from one round worth of punishment. This is absolutely a thing. The chin is a total unknown (I imagine it's dogshit for some reason) but this is every bit as much a factor. The scratch is still readily visible. If it goes Niagra Falls after 3-4 rounds after some crafty pawing I'll be very annoyed

Just watched the Uzcategui fight. Plant has a lot of excellent qualities as a fighter. I do wonder about his endurance, but I think it’s possible that he’s improved that aspect. Canelo’s endurance is MUCH better than it used to be. So who knows what Plant will show us. He looks quite skilled though.

Well he's never been knocked down to my knowledge so that has to count for something. Uzcategui buzzed him when he was fatigued and he took them as good as you could ask so on that basis I'll say he has a decent chin & conditioning. its ne thing taking shots but taking them when you're fatigued is a whole different ballgame.

Who knows? Feigenbutz is the only guy he's fought who I'd say has pretty good power and he has some big flaws. Plant's never had to deal with a power puncher and figuring it out against Canelo won't be fun.
