Look, there's fake beef and real beef in this sport. These two guys definitely had a war of words for years and did not like eachother(And don't tell me Fury respects him so much. I admit I got swept up in Deontay's talk after the 2nd fight. Fury had gone the distance with Wallin and didn't look so good in some of his past fights. Yet he looked so powerful against Wilder that it was hard to believe everything had been fair leading up to the fight and during the fight. Last night showed that Fury, when he's training properly and switched on, has the talent and abilities to dominate and make dangerous fighters look ordinary or weak. That's the result of talent + hard work. And he works hard because he needs to. In interviews, he revealed that he trains all the time because it's the only way for him to beat his depression. So for him, fighting really saved his life. Fighting is his life. I haven't looked at social media after the fight, but I hope Deontay does the right thing and puts out a message with some positive words to Tyson Fury.

I think he'll come around.....maybe. Wilder is stubborn; fighters that want to be great have a certain level of stubbornness in their DNA. You’re probably right. Time tends to heal this sort of stuff. No matter what he says, you can’t not respect a guy that took your best shot, got up off the floor and knocked you out. I hope you're right. I really want to give Deontay his props for his performance yesterday, and I do, but I would have so much more respect for him if he acknowledged that he just beaten by the better man. There's no shame in losing to an elite fighter like Fury. All Wilder has heard his entire career is how he has no skills and he can't do this or that...Yet he made it to the top and is able to push someone of Fury's caliber to the limit. How does he do that? He does that by being stubborn as hell and just believing in the gift he has and the will he has. Wilder truly believed until the end that he was going to land something to win the fight even when he had nothing left. As stubborn of a fighter as you will see.....It's going to be hard for him to accept what just happened but I think eventually he will. Wilder and Fury used to have a good relationship and they will start their good natured banter at some point. It may take a few years but they will be fine...Fury is clearly good with Wilder but just does not respect Wilder accusing him of cheating and not shaking his hand after the fight. It's now on Wilder to reach out to Fury or make some public statement by stating he lost to the better man and they had a great fight.
