Tank davis held one real title and he dropped that today. Hes other belts were regular/intermim type belts from the WBA however the WBA has put out a memo that they are dispensing with all belts that arent the Real Title so that means the regular titles tank holds are null and void.
I think this is a good thing, now it forces him to play ball with the other champions if he wants a title, my only fear is he will play the sidelines taking on important fights and gimmicky fights till a vacant title appears and try to make a grab for that. Rumors are haney is thinking about moving to 140 so that can leave his belt unless WBC does whats correct and just eliminate that belt and demote franchise to real world champion... Im getting off on a tangent.
To be fair to Tank he was last in the ring with a durable opponent but never dangerous enough to beat him. It was still competitive but since he won his first world title he has been in with fighters that on paper were not even close to a 50/50 fight. i just want to see how good the kid really is. It was the other day he was the youngest ever Champion , now he can retire in 3/4 years from now
I assume that they figure that the WBA will mandate Teo/Tank and Teo will be forced to drop it if he's signed for the Loma rematch.
These guys are at a level that there is a lot of deals being negotiated in the background. Others like to negotiate via the media and usually that means they don't want the fight. Only time will tell which way he is going.
Now he is perceived like a star and his next move is not known. There is something planned if he gave up that belt.

The ONLY thing he must do is MAKE MONEY for Mayweather. They don’t give a fook about anything else and neither does he.
135 and 140 have some talent, I imagine 130 requires alot more effort to get down to. The WBA secondary belts provided alot of "safe harbor" for fighters looking for a trinket but unwilling or unable to challenge the actual champions of the division.
Will be interesting to see where Tank goes from here.
Not a believer in Gervonta at all. I think Loma washes him and Lopez also. Haney I feel can beat him as well. Not sure Ryan can at this point.
He always have a punchers chance, I think they move em slow will be for the best in the end but he already held a belt so taking it slow is not a option anymore imo. Time to mix it up.
