“Yes, I can come back in January. I will see about it,” Pacquiao said. “I know I can rematch him if I want. I’ll just need to tell (Premier Boxing Champions head) Al Haymon. That would be no problem.
“I will think about it because I can’t believe that one of the easiest opponents I ever faced did that.”
“He shouldn’t have touched me,” Pacquiao said. “When I moved here (to the right), I had nothing. You know how I move. You’ve seen it so many times. (Saturday), every time I tried, I was left to just block (punches) with my hands.”
Though Pacquiao routinely ran to the Hollywood sign and around a Los Angeles park during training to complement his always intense preparation at Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, he said the only deviation was to allow a highly trained physical therapist to massage his legs just before the fight with a vibration gun.
“I don’t want to blame it, but maybe … (that weakened the legs),” Pacquiao said. “Sitting here right now, I feel like I can still fight. I’m OK. But right now, I have to set aside boxing for a little and focus on my (political) plans.”

To recap, Ugas was one of the easiest opponents Manny has ever faced and the only reason he was able to touch him was because his legs were weakened due to getting massaged with a vibration gun.
That explains it! I guess we can erase this loss from Manny's record along with the Floyd loss since he had an injured shoulder and the loss vs Morales due to being weakened by drawing blood close to the fight and the loss to Marquez because..........................
Relax Pacquiao fans, I'm fan of his as well! But damn the excuses just don't stop from this man after a loss....And weirdly it doesn't really bother me all that much??
Don't worry too much about Pac s excuses. How much credit you should get for beating a former flyweight at tail end of career is hard to assess.
You get chance to fight an icon and have a living legend on your resume what more do you want? Do you really think Ugas cares? Just because Floyd cared don't mean Ugas does. But Ugas prepared to go again and beat a healthier pac, Floyd wasnt
Give it a rest please. Who is to say he won't have another excuse in the rematch where his shoulder hurts or got cramps again?
It is amazing how this man is never healthy in any of his losses but you don't hear this when he wins.
Pacquiao is a legend and true ATG, but he makes excuses for every single loss...And because he makes excuses, his fans eat it up and immediately demand a rematch. It's tiresome and getting old.
I don't mind the excuses because he is a strong willed athlete and that can't accept defeat. No problem, he's far from the only one that makes excuses...but you have to take them for what they are and move on.
Yeah it doesn't really bother me because almost every losing fighter has excuses. One thing I'd like though is if just one of them said "here is my excuse..." rather than claiming they weren't making any. What Pac is describing sounds like how a lot of older fighters feel after a loss, they can see in their mind how to win but their body doesn't respond.
You are right about that, the body seems to age much quicker than the mind for most athletes.
He had a great year, retire already. Really has been smoke and mirrors since getting schooled by Mayweather. Beat average Bradley and Jessie Vargas. Lost to Jeff Horn and got beat up badly. Good TKO of Matthysse. Broner is a bum. And then fought and won a split decision over a guy that has fought twice in 4-1/2 years in Thurman. Then got beat by a journeyman in Ugas who himself is old as heck.
It's 10 or 11 years since Pacquiao was a beast. He's 8-5 in his last 13 fights since winning a MD vs JMM in fight 3 in 2011.
Let him keep fighting if he wants, just going to be more losses. I don't think he wants Ugas again though. Maybe he'll want one last hurrah vs Crawford or Spence so he can go out on his back.
And his excuses are embarrassing and have been for a long time. 62-8-2, that's his record.

his team are full of idiots who didn't do their homework on ugas.lol I've read an article today quoting buboy that pacman should continue boxing because he can't end it losing to an unknown fighter. lmaoo. they really thought ugas was just a pushover and 10 days would be enough to prepare for him. Pac was very ill advised. i don't think anyone on the team has actually a solid grasp of reality.
if they were smart, they would have atleast postponed that fight a month to prepare for ugas.and allowed pacquiao's body to recuperate. at 43 though, i dont think much can be done.. the whole team is in denial right now.
Pacquiao has been using the leg cramp excuse for years. If he still hasn’t solved it by now he should retire then. But to be fair ugas was a late replacement and pac was coming off a 2 year lay off but I still think ugas beats him.
I’m assuming your young. I can absolutely assure u ITS NO EXCUSE for Active men who are not over 30, much like your deeik getting more limp with age. Are their exceptions?? ABSOLUTELY, we’re not all the same. I’m 54 and have those same leg cramps but still hard as a rock LOL. I know 30 year olds who use viagra. I think their just making excuses. LOL . Were all different buddy.
I'ma say it again.... Manny had no business taking that long ass layoff at this age.
I personally think he would do alot better in a rematch, but is it worth it?
