He looked much slower and was getting hit flush and often..had that been Crawford Manny would have been stopped....Maybe take one more fight again a low class opponent in Manilla as a farewell bout..but its over o the top level..respect to a long great career but step down before you end up like Roy Jones at the end of his career
Larry is a casual.
Manny looks slower and gassed and is of old age time to retire, but let’s not forget he whooped Thurman just 2 years ago.
Too many casuals on this site.
how am i casual for stating reality...thurman was 2 years ago and even then Thurman to was injured and inactive himself..

And you're definitely one of them......

He will. He looked pretty defeated last night. It was a sad sight honestly.
It's weird...a lot of boxers reach a point where they can't pull the trigger anymore. Manny can still pull the trigger -- quite often in fact. To the tune of 800 plus punches last night. But his accuracy has been deteriorating pretty badly for a while now. He didn't truly hurt Ugas once the entire evening. When was the last time you could say that about a Pacquiao fight? Hell he even at least caught Floyd with a couple of nice shots. But last night? Nothing.
People also rank Spence and Thurman as special because theyre among the best at WW. That division was SPECIAL because of Floyd and Manny and not the other way around.
Being the best WW means you are the best WW and thats it. Manny was in his 7th division at WW and Floyd was in his 4th. Spence, Porter, and Thurman are still in their 1st division and none of them were ever the clear #1.......yet theyre supposed to be treated like ATGs ????
GTFOH
Nobody is treating anyone at 147 as an ATG. Nobody credible that is.
I hope he does. He has served his time he has done himself, his nation and the sport proud and is set in stone as an ATG (unless you one of those bitter haters who thinks otherwise).
No need to go out on some crappy defeats. His legs look heavy and it was his spring and speed that was the key to the way he fought so without it he's just a mere mortal who is fighting well outside of his natural weight division.
peoples expectations are all jacked up now from floyd and manny. they keep forgetting these guys are elite ATGs, you cannot expect everyone else to be at that level, but everyone gets compared to them.

I agree. It was around rd 7, where it hit me how flat footed Manny was. Ugas was right hooking him at will. Ugas was getting in some good counter shot the whole night.
I dont know, maybe a mikey Garcia type..
pac said he got hamstring in the 4th to his cornermen during the break.
Mosley and Jmm are far older then both of them and Cotto and Hatton are not more then 2-3 years younger...agree on Bradley tho
Add in Maidana, Clottey, Khan, and Margarito then....
Its funny that Floyd and Manny were so great they not only outlasted their OWN generation but also the NEXT generation.
Long gone are the Cottos, Mosleys, JMM, Bradleys, and Hattons.
And the next generation of Thurman, Porter, Spence, Danny Garcia, and Crawford are hardly relevant. Spence may be retired, honestly, and hes never lived up to the hype of his sparring stories... Thurman is a basic fighter who lost to old Pac. Porter has been overhyped since the beginning but hes about as good as this eras WW so it appears hes better than he is. Danny Garcia is a glorified gatekeeper. Crawford was the most special talent of this era but never got a shot at the top because of dick sucking Al Haymon and the ILBBC movement. Now Crawford is going on 34 and has a handful of fights at most until retirement
