Why did JEFF HORN do such a good job against Pacquiao?

Strictly home cooking. Anywhere else in the whole world besides Australia, Pac wins this fight. Given the magnitude of the fight, horrendous decision.

Not really, not in reality For starters Horn clearly won the 1st, 6th and 12th, so there’s 3 rounds he definitely won. You could argue he won the 2nd, 4th, 7th and 10th aswell which were all close rounds. So there’s 7 rounds you COULD give for Horn. Which is why it’s not even a robbery. Even for arguments if you take 2 of those close rounds out and say they’re not close, it’s still 5 rounds you can give Horn. Now go and watch any example I gave you and you can’t do that. Those are actual robberies were the guy who lost/drew CLEARLY won 7 or more rounds. Some of which the guy who lost the fight CLEARLY won 10 or more rounds You’re entitled to your opinion, doesn’t stop it being wrong. Just take this year alone, there are worst robberies than those 2 fights you listed this year, immediate example being Vasquez-Ritson.

Well, there are many experts who would call Horn getting the W a terrible display of officiating. Not many fights have such distinctions. Since you know what a robbery looks like, you should then examine what do the robberies YOU RECOGNIZE have in common with this. Ok, Horn was clumsily aggressive (even though Pac still out landed him in EVERY category). IF you're of the ''numbers don't tell the story'' club, THEN WHAT DOES ?!?!? And are those stats more important to scoring than punches landed ?!?!?! Missing at a high rate > jabs landed ?!?!? Punch stats don't always tell the full story, horn bullied him for much of that fight roughed him up and controlled the action. There wasn't much in the fight. End of the day manny just under performed. It's a story that's been told after EVERY FIGHT for the past how many decades ? Hate to break it to you but robberies do exist.

Errol Spence is not a pressure guy at all. I did not see this pressure vs Mikey Garcia, a Lightweight, Porter, or Garcia. Maybe he showed pressure vs Algieri. But a fighter is who he is when he steps up. If a guy is a KO artist vs bums, but goes the distance vs the best, then he is not a KO artist. Hmm.. good point. He seems to be a pressure fighter only to lesser fighters. He can't even be a pressure fighter to Mikey or Porter.. Algieri is a weak gatekeeper. Anyone in the elite level can pressure Algieri which he did.. but yeah, you have a point.. Seems like he can only pressurize C level fighters.

I had JMM win 9 rounds vs Pacquiao in the trilogy. No matter how many times I view it. JMM won 8 or 9 rounds. Pacquiao beat up and battered Horn. In boxing, I view punches, not who is winning the wrestling or grappling aspect of it. Yes, Horn outwrestled Pacquiao. But Pacquiao beat up and battered Horn. Going by just punches landed, Pacquiao won, and the frequency of punches landed, and how much they look like they hurt. If you add wrestling or holding, okay sure. But wrestling and holding aren’t scoring criteria in boxing. Horn got beat up so bad no matter what amount of wrestling, that the fight should have been stopped. He probably knew what was up. They told him to just survive and he will get the W. Just take the beating and hold on to him for 12 rounds and you will win. The fix was most likely in and everyone but Pacquiao and his team knew. Contrary to what people think, I did not think the ref was against Pacquiao. He was just incompetent. But the ref was itching to stop the fight due to Horn getting such a big beating. He should have done a better job but he was just incompetent.
