Bob said that the fight would be a 60/40 purse split. Porter has no where to go and has an opportunity to get another title. Crawford never mentions anyone and was content fighting for that easy UK money.

What have PBC got to gain if one of theirs fights Crawford? Nothing much really but they do have a lot to lose if one of theirs loses to Crawford, the value of the particular fighter to PBC will drop and so will his potential income. So all PBC have to do is pretend that they are trying to set something up with a hidden agenda to continue avoiding Crawford. Why is this so hard to understand? I guess that conspiracy theories, rumour, tribalism and talk catch the attention while sense is just too hard.

On a more recent podcast, Shawn gave an update, saying he called Crawford and left a message and never heard back so he was moving on. Even though Porter has long said they're friends, it sounded like they're more acquaintances that are friendly when they cross each others paths. Porter seemed to imply that he thinks Bud may be mad that Shawn and Kenny have been giving "updates" of the past negotiations through the podcast and the media. He said he was gonna call and felt semi at fault for not doing so when he said he would. On a more recent podcast, Shawn gave an update, saying he called Crawford and left a message and never heard back so he was moving on.
