This why boxers shouldn't listen to fans

Agreed, and i think his father came out and said the same thing. He is young and would learn from it. That's the thing that i like about Floyd Mayweather. The same fans would be using you as gif, i mean people still try and use gifs of ward when he was knocked down, because they have nothing else to you to mock him, they still try to use the clip of Spence getting hurt early in his career against the Ghanaian guy as meme. Fight the way you fight, don't give a toss what the fans think, I see Boo Boo Andradre doing the same thing as well and getting hurt multiple times against Liam Williams, fans are thick, so don't care what they think.

Haney isn't that guy my friend. He just isn't. no one ducked him. that was all marketing on his part. he has dazn and dazn made zero offers to anyone good. dropping the belt cause haney was with dazn doesnt mean ducking. it means i can no longer keep the belt and haney isnt a legit figth right now to try and make. if haney wanted to make the fight he could have made an offer. loma even said that! he said if he makes me a big offer ill fight but if not commey-lopez winner. haney even gets a better split this way...silence. also some more context haney now says he doesnt want to or have to fight loma cause loma just lost. does that sound like a guy who wanted to party with the big boys? a bluff! publicity! Never forget Rigondeaux. Yup, great example. He was not only abandoned by his promoter Top Rank but also HBO really did not want him back either. He had zero support from Arum. But yeah, prize fighters, who make a living off of boxing and aim for big paydays, should not listen to fans about improving their offense. Because fans have nothing to do with a fighter's paychecks and a promoter/network's interest in that fighter. And you know, in order to let your hands go more, you need to turn into Arturo Gatti (rip) with your defense. There's no way a pro boxer can become better offensively and keep his defense intact. I've never been sold on Haney and this fight didn't make me like him anymore than I already didn't. His power has always been suspect but I find it hilariously ironic how all the same Devin Haney fans making excuses for his pathetic lack of power can criticize someone like Lomachenko for having "pillow fists". Devin Haney is literally punching with pillows on his fists. Everyone says Devin is a good technician but watching this fight, is he? Dude has a pretty quick jab and that was about it. Defensively he was suspect all night and got hit with some bombs. I don't think his chin is suspect but I doubt Haney really has that "killer instinct " to fight through adversity. He's not a killer. He wants to outbox you and run circles around you. He also fought dirty as **** too.. Dude missed a ton of shots and just ended up wrestling Linares for half through fight. Miss a hook? Use your arm to wrap his neck and bring him down. Miss a cross? Use your forearms to smother their face. Not really sure im a fan if Ben Davidson because I've watched 3 guys, Fury, Taylor, Haney, all use these same tactics and I think sometimes they're are more than borderine in terms of legality. I also think Linares did look a step slower than he had before but the dude came out to fight. His punch output seemed less but I think it was due to the high volume of punches Haney threw combined with the fact he was looking to counter punch most of the fight. I picked Linares by TKO because Haney couldn't KO a small child and while Linares is chinny I thought he still had the power to turn the fight around which is something Haney doesn't have. Linares was pretty close too! I suppose there's no chance Haney moves forward against guys who punch because dude is in a no win situation. Doesn't have enough power to trade and not good enough defensively to stay clean for 12 rounds. That's a problem for him considering that most of the top guys at 135 are punchers minus Lomachenko. Do it Devin! Fight Lomachenko! So Haney will go out like Quillin?

If a fighter fails to entertain fans, networks would stop showing that fighter support. So yeah, I think fighters should definitely improve in their offensive ability. Well you can tell Haney wants to be known as much as the Lomas and Lopez of the world. If he sticks to his safety first way of fighting like Andrade his never going to be a key player just another "horrible horrible fighter" " you want payday, you want payday" like Canelo said. He did show another side to him and for the first time I thought he was watchable but then the tenth round happened and we all know how that went. He should take more risks to keep his name relevant just like Marquez did when he was coming up he decided to take way more risks to make himself a key player. If Haney is as good as he thinks he is he shouldn't have a problem adding a new element to his game specially because he is still young and can actually learn new things

Been posting this for YEARS! "Never EVER Listen To Fans" yet some fans have the nerve to get offended over that lol Look...Haney is not and puncher and he will NEVER BE and that is totally fine, it would've been extremely impressive if he just boxed circles around Linares for the last couple of rounds without getting touched and hurt but instead BILL made the mistake of listening to fans and talking about closing the show then Davison stepped in and told Haney to BOX Even without Big Power he was still entertaining working from the Pocket and he was getting Cheers and "oohs and ahhs" from the crowd for some of the Defensive stuff and Counters he was doing but I guess that wasn't enough instead he want Knockouts like Tank, Lopez and Ryan and that is just not his style and it will never be so stop chasing it. You're a Skilled Boxer, don't dumb yourself down for the Approval of some fans who will never ever be a fans of yours but instead want to see skill boxers change their style to hopefully see them lose. Lol like Floyd? Haney is in his debut weight class and he is already weak. Floyd at 22 was dropping bigger dudes than him (in ring weight) with ease. The guy who went 27-0 with 21 KO's in his debut weight class? Mayweather had a 77% KO ratio at 130. He was a beast. How can you compare Haney's power to Floyd's power dan cov? You know better than that. You can't compare Floyd's power at 147-154 to Haney's power at 135. Man, Mayweather at 135 would have had a 35 year old Linares' chin for breakfast. The guy came up from Super Bantamweight. He isn't exactly some big guy who is hard to KO. If you have some pop, you can stop Linares. Haney's KO ratio in his first weight class, is already closing in on Mayweather's overall KO ratio through 5 weight classes (57% vs 54%). They are not even close. The fact is you know these guys are brought up by being fed showcase fights to beef up their profile. Gamboa and Linares are two older fighters who were placed there by Hearn to build him up, have some highlight reel KO's. He failed to do that with both showcase fights and was about to be a victim of highlight reel stoppage for Linares if it wasn't for his blatantly illegal holding, grabbing, wrestling when he was hurt for 3 rounds.
