Seems like with an eye injury usually too. No respect for BJS. He knew he was about to get KOed and decided to take the coward's way out. Would have had way more respect if he took the KO like a man.
Yep, and probably another example of a guy looking for a way out when he is on his way to losing. Fury, to his credit, didn't do that vs Wallin, but Fury knew he could beat Wallin. I guess you see guys from all over quit all the time when they are in a tough fight or on their way to losing.
Fury might be a quitter. He has never been dominated. If he gets dominated we might see him quit + pretend to be injured. It's usually the ones who think they can't be dominated who quit when they are
Not at all. Just pointing out the somewhat obvious - that UK guys seem to have no heart and look for the easy way out. These guys are fighters. You don't think BJS has ever been in a fight in his life where he got one of his eyes swelled up. Now, in the biggest fight of his life, he is set to come out for the last 4 rounds, and his eye is swelled and he can't really see out of one eye, maybe.
You're telling me he can't get off the stool and come out and box smart, just to see what is really going on with the eye. He can probably protect the eye some as well, maybe leaving him exposed to the body, sure. But he is a trained fighter with 20 years of high level fighting experience.
He quit. End of story. An eye injury is serious. I understand if a man feels like he has to waive the white flag if an injury is too much and could be life-altering. But a lot of guys will use a little bruise as an excuse to quit.
Look at the HW fight on that same card. Guys do it all the time. The UK has just had a number of them do it lately.
Well I don;t like BJS but you can go blind if you fight with a broken oribital. Even Canelo said he felt it break. As for UK guys - is this actually true? or did you just cherry pick a few fighters at the end of their career? I'd like to see the stats on quitters and country of origin
Worst UK quit for me was Nigel Benn in Steve Collins fight. And Ricky Hatton when he quit because he couldn't beat Floyd or Manny. Really? Why not not try and get better? no shame losing to 2 of the best fighters ever
Man I don't know how you can mention over the top fans and leave out Canelo superfans lol. True, there are a couple guys on here who say Loma beat Lopez etc. Which is crazy. But similarly you still have A LOT of guys on here who try and say Canelo did much better vs GGG in those 2 fights than he really did, etc. Look at the gif you posted there for any evidence of super-fandom.
Just an ironic statement you made there
True! Canelo fans will get humbled eventually as well that is just the way boxing is NONE of these Current active fighters are unbeatable and they all have their Flaws
However this thread was about "UK Guys" which is why I did not mention other fans but yeah all over it is those annoying overly emotionally attached fans who are so annoying that it can make people root against their Favorite fighter just so they can STFU!
Brits need to avoid Mexican Fighters for awhile that is for sure

Just Joking I have no issues with Brits it is plenty of Legends and Current British Fighters I am huge fans of BUT over the last couple of years it has been some British Fans particularly on this Forum who became extremely annoying so to see them get humbled and not post as much anymore because their Beloved Brits are taking "L's" is very satisfying just like all the Eastern European Groupies have magically disappeared after Teofimo beat Loma
Nothing wrong with Pride and being Proud of your Fellow Countrymen but some fans go too far

BJS talked a lot of crap, was disrespectful, a lot of 1diotic actions, statements from other fighters, crying about all kinds of stuff including the size of the ring, etc and winds up quitting in his corder. He deserves all the flak that he is getting.

Boxing 1013 is looking for attention from the UK fans lol - let's see if they are stupid enough to give it to him

Yeah our greatest ally right? I feel like a guest in my own country after last night. All America is now is an entity that lobbies for other countries interest. There's no special interest group for foundational Americans. It'd be "antisemitic" "racist" smh
At least you and I get it man. Some of us do. Too few of us, but maybe that will change. The media with its brainwashing and propaganda does not help our cause but maybe things are changing. Truly a shame how the leadership of our country has acted over the past 50 years or so, with only a few exceptions.

When it comes to atg poosies then the USA's Ryan Martin always tops the list, "Hey ref! The Tartan Tornado is beating the shti out of me so I'm gonna quit and try get him DQ'd."
Absolutely shameful display of cowardice.
He can say whatever he wants. His team and whoever else can say it was his eye and that it's bad etc etc. The man was getting his ass kicked practically from the beginning. The body shots hurt him early and often. The flurry at the 8th, he was done. He knew a KO was coming, ala Kovalev. And he quit. End of story
Well said! Broken orbital bone man my ass! He was getting his ass whooped and then he quit for fear of being knocked out. He's only using an eye injury as an excuse for quitting.
Mexicans and British run boxing.
Americans ain't ****, they just duck all comers at all times.
The cheek of you to talk about inferiority complex when all you can do is talk crap about British fighters simply because there's nothing positive you can say about American fighters.
All you guys do is quit, and overhype every fighter you have. Only fighter worth a sh.it you have in your whole country right now is Fury lol. BJS quit. AJ quit and got beat by a sub top 10 fat boy. Smith got beat badly by a number 10 in his group.
No one overrates fighters like the UK. This is true.
It may be some sort of inferiority complex the UK has now. They used to be top of the world. But now they know they are basically the US's little brother, at best, in world prestige. Maybe that manifests with their mentality some.
