All these eyes on boxing currently, and what are these two doing? Hiding out. They fight then disappear, yet expect to be "stars". Spence seems to be comfortable with what he is making. Got a house in Jamaica and said after retiring he plans to quietly live between Jamaica and Texas. Don't know Bud's views but maybe he, too, is comfortable with what he is making.

I quote this guy that worked for Led Zeppelin and Nirvana a lot here: "stars are people who are talented at being talented" If you don't have "it" you have to work on cultivating it and growing your brand and public persona. Famous example being Floyd Mayweather; no one gave a fuck about Pretty Boy Floyd so he rebuilt it. If guys don't care about all that, they can fade away into obscurity.

Don't know exactly what you want them to do. Every time they come out they are asked the same question, "When are you going to fight Crawford/Spence?" Many fans don't give a crap about them anymore.

It may sound strange but I don’t think Bud Crawford cares about being a PPV star. I think he cares about getting paid well, which he already is. If we wanted to be a PPV star then he would have done what Mayweather did: make concessions to get guys in the ring (Gatti (R.I.P), De La Hoya), win and then never be the B-side again. Spence is similar in that he doesn’t seem to care about fighting Crawford , however he also has a wider selection of opponents on his “side of the street” so it’s not as noticeable. Either way, their lack of action is why I can’t fault people like Jake Paul for cashing in on exhibitions.

Slight rumors of Spence-Pac being negotiated... let's see if anything comes from that. As a Spence fan, and a fan of boxing, I'm getting really tired of the 'top' guys fighting once a year. Nah, Spence vs Ugas is getting announced next week. Pac fight isn't happening since he's not fighting in the US. Pac will be looking to fight Mikey Garcia sometime this year.

He talked big for a long time and for a while he walked the walk but most of his recent performances have been subpar and has shown no real interest in fighting the biggest threat to him in his division.
