See that there are rumours flying around that Wilder might look to do a so-called PPV mega fight with Ruiz and then look at bribing the WBC into making a final eliminator v the winner of Whyte/Pov 2.
So does that mean that his case for Fury trilogy is dead?
Would be fun.
I hope Ruiz wins.
I actually like Wilder, but I want to see him lose for now on because his excuses provide so much entertainment, which is so desperately needed in times like this.
A win for Wilder might suggest he was ever a legitimate top heavyweight. I think a loss confirms he wasn't.
Personally, I'd prefer the loss for him. He deserves to be wiped from history for his lack of credible fights while champion and excuses for losing.
For what it's worth, I quite liked Wilder too. But he and his team picked a path of low credibility.
Wilder needs to fight somebody and why not ruiz. As long as opponent isn't as good as fury. But maybe not ruiz as ruiz would be 2 nd best opponent he's faced to date.
Wilder needs to show it was the long ring walk in armour weighing 20 kilos that lost him fight. He did so much talking after loss he needs to back it up. Show he's as good as he ever was and that it wasn't the real wilder we last saw
They might make up a new belt to hand to Pov-Whyte to appease the "mando" what like the WBA did when they made the reg.
Didn't they already do that? Povetkin is the WBC Interim Heavyweight champion right now isn't he? That's exactly the belt the WBA are doing for Joyce v Usyk.
The way I am seeing it is? Ruiz Junior & Wilder can be used by the Americans to dethrone the British heavyweights.
They will only be able to achieve this, if they take different routes to the title.
If they face each other now, one of them is going to be taken out 'And denied by the entire division'.
You can have Wilder facing Whyte, and Ruiz Junior facing Joyce or Uysk.
The only scenario where Ruiz Junior & Wilder will face each other 'Is if one of them becomes champion'.
That is a all american Championship fight right there.
What on earth am I reading? Yeh fuck actually seeing good boxing bouts... all that really matters is stupid nationalism.
Ruiz v Wilder is basically the only interesting fight the PBC have at heavyweight. Everything else is a snooze fest.
LOL ticking over? What are they? Chickens? Sounds like Spence with his why fight Crawford when I can take the easy route.
Imagine Wilders star power had he faced and beaten the big names over the years like Wlad or Joshua or took this unifications like Parker and Martin. Ticking over is the lame way. Where is the pride in these guys?

No.
Wilder & Ruiz Junior should avoid each other.
Both of them should take different paths to a title fight..
If Wilder or Ruiz lose to each other? They will be denied a title fight.
All they really need to do is keep ticking over, sooner rather than later they will get a title fight.

Considering he held that title so long the 1st time around I don't think he deserves to be given alot of hoops to jump through to get another crack at it.
A come back fight followed by a final eliminator sounds fair enough to me. Although by that time his opponent in the final eliminator may feel like he himself shouldn't have to jump through any more hoops himself like having to face Wilder.
I think it's quite clear that the "CONTRACTED" 3rd fight with Fury has run its course now, he may well get some compensation from Team Fury, I don't really know, but they are obviously going in their own directions now

Hello Mr Haymon. :)
Ruiz Jr. wins that fight...
Hopefully. I'd like to see Ruiz take on a couple of other gatekeepers i.e. Whyte then a trilogy showdown with AJ in late 22
